Inpaint was the GOTD on Oct 7..I missed it..I downlaoded the trial version a few days ago and I really like it! The problem with the trial version is you cant save your edited photos. I HATE to pay $39.99 for the program. Any suggestions? Does GOTD ever run the same program again for free?

The only thing I could suggest would be to take a screenshot after you edit your photo by hitting the "Prt Scr" button on your keyboard, open up microsoft paint and paste your screenshot in, editing out everything around the picture, and then saving it that way. I downloaded and tried Inpaint on Oct. 7 but soon after uninstalled it. I was not happy with the results or the time it took. I have Photoshop and I find the clone tool to be much more effective (even if it is tedious work). The computer can do it okay in Inpaint but nothing can match the pure percision of a human's work when it comes to this sort of project.

hello, lorigjohn...
an earlier giveaway, "Image Mender", was similar to "Inpaint"...you can try them both out, compare, & purchase the one that best suits your needs...and as copmom said, sometimes there are repeats...
there is a freeware similar to those two programs, "PhotoWipe"...
i installed it on my PC (HP, XPSP2, MCE)...results were good for me, but your mileage varies...
it didn't set off any alarms with McAfee or SpySweeper, but if you decide to download & try it, please check for yourself as well...
please note: after install, it did open Internet Explorer to the programs website...the program is freeware, but the developer does ask for contributions (not required)...
