   There was a 0-day Flash exploit that was being actively used, so Adobe released the special update. At the time those exploits were very targeted, so your chances of getting hit were probably low. That's Changed. The 0-day is now included in a mal-ware kit, & being used for, among other things, delivering Crypto-wall ransom ware.

   I updated my flash after seeing this warning (version 18.0.0.203). Everything was fine until this evening. All of a sudden, Firefox is BLOCKING Adobe Flash of any version. The block request is HERE.

   I'm confused it has a status of "Resolved Fixed" so why is it blocking it?

   They found more 0-day exploits in the files dumped on-line from the Hacking Team breach -- they were also reported to be in active use by the bad guys. Today Adobe released patched updates to Flash & their PDF reader, & Google released another updated version of Chrome. Firefox developers meanwhile made the decision to force users to acknowledge that they were using Flash -- IMHO kind of a passive-aggressive move to say we really don't like you using it, but realize we have little choice but to let you since most sites still use it.

   Thanks! I have updated to the .209 version.

   At least for now, Firefox is happy and has stopped the annoying little message and lego-block like icon with respect to Flash.

   You're right -- we don't really have a lot of choice. I can't even see the Comcast news videos without explicitly saying OK with .203.
