   I used to install good softwares on both my PC and laptop in the past. I have been away from GAOTD since long time for now. Now since few days when I try to install the software on both the PC and laptop then it installs on one only and on the other device it shows the Error message... I don't know the exact message but it is telling that Access denied with some numbers in that message after checking the availability on GAOTD page. I will post the exact message next time..

   I tried downloading files separately on both the systems but the problem remains the same.

   Hi Euphoria, check the FAQ's. There's one on the main page sticky and another in the game discussion section. Often, it's the security software that a community member is running that stops the installation, possibly due to the Themida based security that is now included with all giveaways. That was added about 2 years ago to stop hackers from breaking the wrapper.

   Hope you get it sorted.

   Check the event logs via the event viewer to see what the error message was. Then post it here. The error message can often tell you what the problem is indirectly.

   I will read it in detail and let you know.

   Btw that means that we can install one GAOTD software on both our pc and laptop with the same IP address. I thought they provide it according to IP address. One software to one IP... that sort of.

   I've been able to install software to up to six different machines, so I don't think its IP sensitive. :)

   Today again I am not able to install the software...
   the error message is (that happens only when I try to install GOTD softwares)

   Access violation at address 100046DC. Read of address 00000014.

   Don't know what's the problem now..

   AFAIK this isn't that common a type of error, & generally means that some software tried to access [read &/or write] to memory in a place that was already being used by something else. If you Google it seems this sort of error usually occurs after some change, rather than randomly. It could mean there was an error in the programming for the GOTD, but then others would report the same problem, & I don't see that on the GOTD download page.

   Hopefully someone will have a better answer, but unless you made some recent change to your Windows install or hardware all I can suggest is the stuff in the FAQ that WR already mentioned, e.g. clearing out the ie cache etc. Security software can have effects, but if you run the GOTD setup.exe in Safe Mode with networking, as recommended if/when you have problems, usually that in effect turns the security software off.
