what is the difference between MultiSet 6.1 and an Image of your C-drive?

I have been reading the description of MultiSet 6.1, but I do not really understand , what does it makes different from a usual Image of your harddrive with your OS and all programs installed?
Can someone explain it to me in easy words?

PS: I use http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm to make my images.

one major difference is that the result is an install with the full range of drivers so if you changed motherboards or vidcards it'd b able to install a basic driver instead of failing to start.
