Just takes me Forevahhh to finish up a letter!!! I have 2 (yes *two*) I've started for you ... I start many, seldom finish them, so never send anything. My Drafts box is in such a state of bloat, you can't even imagine. Don't even know why ... It just is!
That "Send" button is a bit scary, so I it's not used often. *sniff* Yap, I'm loopy, that's all.
Also, I'm a bit more busy now w R/L stuff, so less time on the Tubes.Yes, it's late here, middle of the night in fact!!
Depends where my insomnia leads me. Haven't slept much in the past 2 weeks or so. But just came up from a nice 7.5 hrs in a row, which is funk*tas*tik!!!!!!
So I'm ready to get my swords and make trouble!! :D

I really enjoyed the past several months reading the comments here on these forums, but it has become very quiet of late. I rarely comment apart from my games threads. I much prefer just reading your uplifting posts.
It could be the summer holidays that have fragmented things a little. When I went on holiday back in July I ended up not visiting a site that I actually administer until this weekend gone. That’s over seven weeks without visiting, and that’s a site I used to visit several times every day for the past three years. Over the past several months the regulars have slowly faded away, and I was finding my posts were still on the front page weeks later. It’s bound to happen if your posts don’t get answered, or people rarely visit. One site I used to visit daily due to being a beta tester has still got a post I made last year on the front page.
It's so easy to find pastures new on the net. But in my opinion, this is still one of the better forums around, simply because of the nature of the site. It will always (so long as it exists) have a clientele because of the free programs and games that are given away on a regular basis. Plus the fact that there aren’t too many adverts around. I really find sites that have loads of advertising (of course that's for generating income) not very pleasant to visit. It's partly why I don't visit Merrils Cybermart site. Don't ask me why as it seems a little illogical, especially as Merril is doing a great job over there. I just find the sites ugly to look at, so don’t bother visiting.

just to confirm over at cybamart forum we do not have any advertisements!....what we do have is a more modern forum,.....apart from stats,...the ability to edit days after posting,......we have pm's,......instead of clicking a link to a photo submitted on GAOTD to view it,...on cybamart,...they are there to view by just a scroll down the thread,....you can also preview your post and image before submitting,...oh there are eleven members of GAOTD plus myself over in cybamart,....as you probably are aware,...and we post here as well,....the attraction in cybamart is the fact you can see who is on line,...tell them you are in a certain thread and communicate with them,...either in a thread or by pm's,...i have to admit i like GAOTD,...it's where i met most of my internet friends,....but something is amiss when we seem to have lost most of the regulars here,...that is a sad reflection on the people who own GAOTD,...the administrators really do the best they can, with what they have,...and i praise them for that,...the three Threads which kept us going here are off page now,...except for Word Association,....and of late there is a gap of up to ten hours between posts,...and the gap is increasing,....so come out of the shadows i say to the owner of GAOTD,....and help your members,......upgrade the site,...please!Paulga aka Philip

Games GuruSorry my mistake. I'm sure there used to be adverts on the site, but it's since been upgraded. I was probably thinking of Swans site. Both Swan and Merril used to write excellent to brilliant reviews of games on the giveaway site up until around June 07 last year.
What happened to Lockett; does anyone know? He used to give a counter posed review to mine (generally), which was a great thing as it gave to opposing points of view most of the time.
Hi PaulGa, regarding the loss of community members posting on these forums. It was bound to happen eventually. Though if it was possible to add some of the benefits that Cybamart have such as being able to post images and seeing who is online etc, would improve the site immensely. I'm sure there are plug-ins that would enable the powers that be to enable such features. One of the Administrators on a site I used to moderate for was a real whiz at such things and made the site a pleasure to visit. Apart from adding shout boxes and messages that auto popped up when a PM had been sent, he also added hundreds of flash games so that site members could compete against each other in a fun way.
I've been around forums for more or less since the internet was established and forums started to appear and have seen several forums become really popular, then inexplicably die. I'm sure it will happen over on the Cybamart forums eventually when members discover other sites or interests. Though I truly hope it doesn't because knowing most of the members makes it kind of special doesn't it? I've not got into the habit of visiting the forums over at Cybamart yet. I'm still tied to my Battlefield forums which due to admin responsibilities I can't stretch myself too much elsewhere. The hours I spend researching and then writing up the games reviews for the game giveaway site alone takes up an inordinate amount of time I don't think I spend enough time here as it is. :)
