   Glad you liked! I've been busy too.. trying to set up all my business programs in this new computer! Something dumb! I used to have several tabs open in my window and now it's only showing the tab for the url I'm on. Can't get the settings right (winXP Pro)! Grrrr!

   If you're using FF3,go to Tools- Options-Tabs and choose: new pages should be opened in a new tab.

   Yes, Robert is right.
   I've not made the switch to FF3 yet, too many incompatibilities on my add-ons.
   Must be the same path on FF2 or FF3, or close enough
   Don't forget to check:
   •Open pages in new tab
   •Always show the tab bar

   Darn thing.
   Each time we change anything or update, the loooong dance of re-adjusting all the settings starts!!!

   Hope this solves it. But if it doesn't, tell us more so we can help!!!

   beware the megaupload manager on 2.0.0.x before making the upgrade- it changes the description of the $@&&%$@ thing from firefox 2.0.0.16 (for example) to firefox 2.0.0.16;MEGAUPLOAD 1.0 and the 3.0.1 installer misses changing it which causes things that should install on 3.0.1 (in fact, good for 1.5 to 3.0.x) choke and refuse to install. had to 'search string in file' and change it to plain 3.0.1 by hand!

   (prefs.js I think- one of those you should only edit when ff wasn't running)

   grrr...

    that translates sort of like 'that cursed thing', in this case firefox 2- and I was mainly saying to watch out for add-ons that change the browser's identification string. turns out the mega upload manager also installed as a download manager in spite of me trying to avoid it.

    I had to update the roboform adapter (toolbar) and that kept it from installing.

    Still not working right! Have FF set to open in new window, show tabs, etc. Only tab showing (like right now), is the tab for this particular page. When I switch to another page or link, it JUST shows the tab for that page, and this one's gone, have to keep using the back arrow. What a pain!

    You could right click on a link and choose:'open in a new tab'.
    Or use the 'New Tab' option to open a new tab.

    Thanks Robert.. I'll try that. I did just notice something. There is a tab showing on the bottom of the screen instead of the top!
