   It has been now almost five month since the Game Giveaway of the Day has been changed to weekends only.

   Will it ever return to the Game Giveaway of the Day? I'm loosing hope here!

   I always enjoy trying out new games but having to wait until the weekend to see which new games this great site has to offer has become awful for me.

   Yes, I admit the daily game giveaways here have spoiled me over time …Smile… but having to wait until the weekend just to find yet another game I'm not interested in is just so depressing!

   Before it wasn't a big deal if I didn’t like a game, I just checked back the next day.

   Please GOTD Team …please, please…consider bringing back daily game giveaways!!!

   BTW, I don't mind reruns! Reruns are good, especially if you’ve lost a good game for some reason, that way you can get it back!

   Instead of complaining.. be thankful that there ARE fully registered offers here that you can download for free. Even if they miss a day here and there, what would you have if GOTD wasn't here anymore? Nothing!

   If so I must say: "Ouch, that hurts!"

   I started this topic because I really like the Game Giveaway of the Day website!

   I like the way it is set up and the fact that it is virus free, I also like that people can leave comments which help me a lot to decide if the particular game could be something for me!

   I don't have the time in my day to check out all kinds of similar sites and the few sites I’ve looked at can not measure up to this place here.

   Oops - sorry Rosemarie - not aimed at you! Even though games are not my thing it would be nice if they had maybe 1 every other day for people that come here for that.

   Actually to make it fair I don't see why GAOTD couldn't alternate it so that one day is a game, the next day a utility and so on. I mean does everyone need a new game/utility 365 days a year? So every other day alternated would be okay with me.

   Oh and 1 day for screensaver fans (Sundays as it seems to be)...

   How about others here? Or would you all have the jitters...

   You should consider, that quality is better than quantity.

   Also to mention, that, there are not enough authors to provide you with a freebie day-in-day-out.

   I see lots of comments about, software and the lack of appreciation.

   Comments like, 'ohh no not another screen saver and ohh no not another video converter'.

   Last thing I installed and still have was Liquid Story Binder XE.

   If you don't like, then wait a few days, or find a game on the net you liked from the demo and buy it.

   Yeah.. I'd much rather see a couple good games, than 7 lousy ones every week. RoseMarie, if free games is what you want there's plenty of sites that offer it. Google is your friend.

   Hey Rosemarie I don't know if you know about this site - it's a bit slow to load sometimes but it's for free games. Their site seems to be more compatible with FireFox.

    What a great idea - rezidue! Alternate the giveaways would be okay with me too. Plus, believe it or not, I do love Screensavers. :)

    Sorry Lee, I did not want to appear greedy with my request!!

    I did for sure not expect to get a response from you like this; especially since there was no problem in the past to give away games daily!

    I know there are many complainers and it surely must be frustrating for you to read there comments, but I am not one of them, my topic was not intended to complain about the Game Giveaway of the Day site! I thought it would show how much I enjoyed the daily game giveaways and how great it would be if the GOTD Team could bring them back!

    Being a game lover I'd definitely go for the alternating theme, lol. Though I don't mind any way which. I usually buy the games I really want anyway, so the games I get for free are usually bonuses. I've actually found some great games thanks to the giveaway project. Prior to the project I was a lot more limited in the type of game I bought, so the project really opened my eyes to games like Treasures of Montezuma and Atlantis Rising.

    I'm sure the game giveaway team will eventually return to 7 days a week, but, even if they didn't, we're still getting over a hundred games a year for free. I see a lot of complaining about the quality of games being given away, but personally I think we've been really lucky to get what's on offer. I'm not saying criticism is a bad thing because I know constructive criticism is a good because it gives the project team and probably the developers many ideas as to what we want and also possible ways to improve on the games that we see here on a weekly basis.

    BTW Rosemarie, if you visit the Gametop site you can find nearly 90 good quality (mainly) arcade games for free.

    Please note that with all the free games downloaded from either of the above addresses your browser will be opened up to the respective home pages when you shut the games down, but the games are otherwize clean of any viri or malware, and you only need to close the browser window once to finish. Some of the games do ask if you wish to change your browser, so ensure to uncheck the appropriate checkbox when you install the games.

    Thanks Whiterabbit, I will check out these sites! Nice to hear from you, I always enjoy your game comments they are very informative and well written! As I may say so. ;)

    BTW, just because I don’t mind reruns does not mean that I am a greedy person who collects free games by the ton! I just enjoyed the daily game giveaways on this site, that’s all.
