I'd like to hear the opinions of experienced users of both packages as to their relative merits. If you could only have one on your computer, which would you choose and why?

I've been using Glary Utilities ever since it was offered here. I'm quite happy with it as I never had any issues with the computers not running right after using it.
Whilst in the beginning I used to at least look at the entries, I don't always do this nowadays.I tried System Mechanics once, version 7 something, but it was not a keeper because I couldn't see the entries it wanted to delete and I didn't particularly like that. Out it went ..
Lately I have also been using the Wise Disk Cleaner and Registry Cleaner, which find additional entries compared to Glary. The first time I used them it really sped up the booting process, however it wasn't a totally long lasting effect.

Glary Utilities, because it supports the 64-bit version of Windows and System Mechanic supposedly doesn't yet. If you have plans to get a new computer one day I think that is something people should take into consideration. Some programs I have no idea when they plan to make it compatible which kinda makes me angry.
