Here are three freebie games to help you celebrate your slack time. Be warned as these games offer a good dose of addictive fun.
I discovered this game awhile back when I was “off my feet” so to speak. It was sort of a rage within this workplace and it seemed that at every lunch, coffee, or tea break people would be at their PC’s playing this site based game. “Portal: The Flash Version”. I had use of a laptop, so to help ward off brain atrophy I gave it a try. It has easily become one of my favorite puzzle-solving games in years, it’s brilliant! How many levels can you make it through in the course of a session (sometimes referred to as a lunch/work break)? http://portal.wecreatestuff.com/
This next game is really the touching story of a boy and his toilet paper, which has rolled away from home. So what's a kid to do? Follow it all over town, apparently. In the appropriately named Jimmy's Lost His Toilet Paper, it's up to you, playing Jimmy, to run through a series of levels and try to collect all the loose “TP” and, according to the instructions, "find love and meaning to his life on the way"--and maybe a free stall. http://www.kloonigames.com/blog/games/tp
In the same way that I got a kick out of playing Portal: The Flash Version, here’s another site-based game that will keep you coming back to play, Shift-3. The general idea is that you've got to navigate rooms and make it to the exit door. You do that by hitting your Shift key to invert the world and change your perspective on each puzzle. Trust me, you'll want to play it. http://armorgames.com/play/1846/shift-3
