George Carlin died yesterday. For all you comedy fans, It's a sad day. He pushed the bounds of comedy in the 70s and kept on pushing until heart failure took him at the age of 71. He will be missed.

I was at SummerFest in 1972, when he got busted for the 7 Little Words, lol!!! What a bunch of Horse manure, it was the kids(that the parents never should have brought)That got him busted that night!
Most of us now call it BummerFest, lmao!
God Bless you George, and God, I hope, has a sense of humor!

Suki, you beat me by a few years. Saw Carlin in a gawdawful performance back in '76 or '77. He arrived late, carrying a glass of what he claimed was honey water and dragging a stool on stage. After admitting he "was sick and hadn't prepared anything" he launched into a nonstop run-on sentence comprised of exceedingly crude free association, random foul musings and (drug-induced?) nonsensical babbling... call it the 7 little words on steroids. Compared to that act, Mel Gibson on a weekend bender would be deemed a choir boy. A decidedly disgusted audience (my date and I, too) began to file out en masse after the first 15 minutes. Far as I'm concerned, he stills owes each of us a refund... plus parking. Yeah, I know, fat chance of collecting on that debt.
OTOH, Simon & Garfunkel's grand tour, Laurel raceway circa Aug'83... now that remains a fond fond memory.
