IE8 is a vast improvement over IE7 if that is so IE 7 must be bad Test on browser-security IE 8 & Firefox all most the same but the ActiveX how you know if it ok to let it run I don't like may be it just me? you don't have it in Firefox, You can make Firefox very safe with NoScript & Adblock Plus & add spyblock,
The fist thing I did with window 7 was try IE 8 very slow so got Firefox & Opera 10 go very good & fast, Hear is some if and Test on browser_battle most on IE and Firefox hope it help.
