Another thread on the same topic has already been started: GotD Daily Email Notifications.
Please post on that thread in case the GotD team is reading so that they will see how many subscribers are no longer receiving daily notifications.

I've never bothered with email notifications. I've been visiting the site since November 2006 and have got into the habit of automatically checking the site each day to see what's available.

I agree - I've never trusted the emails. I just have it on my normal "cycle" of sites to check first thing, and usually every time, I get onto the internet. Well, at least the forum is checked every time. The main page, just the first time.

Purely FWIW, on any given day there are far more spam e-mails sent than most could ever imagine -- you may think you get a lot of spam, but that's very likely only a small fraction of what was actually headed your way. That's because at every step of an e-mail's journey towards your inbox there are filters -- filters that you cannot turn on/off or have any influence over. It's all automated, & just like your security software, it can generate false positives. Unlike most security software, a false positive can result in an e-mail server or address being blacklisted, meaning for example that nothing using a blacklisted sender address gets through.
Because these filters exist at every stage, *sometimes* having e-mails sent to a different e-mail address using a different e-mail server/service *might* work. Because you might have additional filters in your PC/laptop Windows environ, checking e-mail via the web, or perhaps using a cell/tablet *might* work.
Or you can do like WR & Dragonlair & just check the site daily. :)

Fortunately, this issue has been fixed. As mentioned above, I had started this topic a week ago [GotD Daily Email Notifications]. Some of us signed up again with a different email address and a different server, and I now receive two emails from GotD each day. At some point I'll unsubscribe from one of the emails . . .
