I am getting a pop-up error "floating point division by zero" and the program is invisible except for buttons.
#82 in the comments for this program is experiencing the same problem. I am using Windows Xp SP2 on a Dell Inspiron 531s AMD Sempron LE-1300 processor. This is a new machine that has only been in use for the past 2 weeks.
Awaiting a solution or workaround.
Thanks.
In case this goes longer than just today, the program's name is Daniusoft Digital Media Converter.
I had no problem getting either of today's programs and installing them. WinXP, SP2
I am also getting a pop-up error "floating point division by zero" and the program is invisible except for buttons.
I have windows xp with an AMD Athlon processor. I have downloaded many others and they work fine.
Program is Daniusoft Digital Media Converter. Also awaiting a solution!!!
Thanks
Installation
Unzip the package you`ve downloaded and run the activation program
Activate.exe which is included in the package,
then
run Setup.exe to
install the software.
I tried that 4 times now (uninstalling and installing again of course) and I still get the same error message!"floating point division by zero" and the program is invisible except for buttons. I even tried downloading the program from the "mirror link" instead. Please help!!
Copmom, thanks for repeating the readme file.
This is the first time that I have had problems with a program that hasn't already had a solution posted. I have been downloading and enjoying GOTD and its sister site GGOTD for over a year. If the zip file has more than just setup.exe I always read the readme file to see which comes first because they aren't all the same.
I am sure this bug has something to do with the AMD processor or the graphics card (Mine is NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nforce 430 with driver 6.14.11.6258 for the techs trying to figure this out.)
There are still a couple things I haven't tried: rebooting, or uninstalling and reinstalling with minimal background programs. I have the time to do this now, so I'll be checking back later.
Oldgater, please post what graphics setup you have. Maybe that is also a factor.
I had no problem installing it, just a problem activating it
for some reason it won't connect to the server
I don't think it's the processor or graphics card. I have an Athlon processor (dual core Athlon 3.2GHz - not overclocked yet) and an NVidia card (NVidia 8800GTS 640MB.
I've posted a couple of suggestions in the forums, but as they probably wont show for several hours I'll repeat them here. Check for updates to your graphics drivers (I think someone has mentioned that above) and try defragging your drive. If it's severly fragmented it an cause problems. These are only suggestions though. I'd consider updating other drivers as well.
try changing screen resolution. :(
I keep getting the message " The key cannot be decrypted" when I run setup for Styrateg (Is that Strategy with the y in the wrong place?). How do I fix that in the next 10 hours?
Wabbit, my PC's as upgraded as it can be. I figured my video card was obsolete when it started popping up ads for sunscreen and parasols each time a game requiring pixel shading launched. Tech PowerUp's utility verifies that it's right out of the Stone Age.
So, do you have any sage advice on upgrading to an affordable vid card? I cannot stress affordable too much. Ideally, the manufacturer would be giving it away if not actually paying people to order it.
Not into multi-player online shoot 'em ups and not interested in running screen within screen HD movies. Just want something that doesn't make my monitor look like the PC's running in Safe Mode.
Thanks to all who tried to help, but after defragmenting and updating graphics card, yesterday's software still doesn't work for me and still gives me the same error "floating point division by zero". I did some other investigating and one solution was that the files are corrupt? Either way, I can't use the program. :(
