I downloaded Premium Booster when some months ago was offered in GOTD and as soon as i installed my firewall spotted a worm and quarantined it.
No big deal, I erased the bug, and all was OK (even if slightly suspicious) I was pretty satisfied with the program because sometimes it found registry troubles that Tune up utilities & CCleaner did nt detect.
Then some days ago I get asked if I want to downlad te newer version ,of course I did, I downloaded and as soon as the program opened my firewall detected & quarantined a trojan horse. A little investigation showed that it was a particularly nasty one, known to have caused disaster in south asia and the US (among other places).
again I erased (very creepy this time) but the worst was that now my Gotd version was transmuted in an evaluation version that will expire in 30 days.
I contacted the company and I got an e-mail that says that I could get a key on the GOTD site , but this seems to be some more BS by an already suspicious company.
I really hope to be proved wrong but did anybody know anything about this fabled place on GOTD WHERE IS POSSIBLE TO DOWLOAD THE KEY TO THE LATEst VERSIoN of Premium Booster?
Did anyone experience the same kind of trouble?
Premium Booster misbehave badly

kilgore, I believe that the "fabled place", is just that. Never heard of it. I think those folks are pulling your leg. If there is one thing I've learned, never download a version upgrade for software that's given away on GOTD, unless it is offered here again. I can't tell you anything about your "virus" and it's apparent consequences. I'd say, that you will probably have to pay the software vendor if you wish to continue using their product.
I may be wrong. Anyone else?
(BTW, love your name!)

Thanx guys.
From now on I'm gonna follow your suggestion.
No more upgrades for free software.
And no more invitations to free lunches.Posted 16 years ago # -
Your welcome, Mr. Trout.

Had you by any chance created a restore point in between installing Premium Booster and updating it, because if you have then you should be able to return your registry to the way it was before the upgrade was installed? You may have auto restore points switched on in which case you will be able to restore your computer up to the most recent time without losing too much. It depents pon how much you want premium booster back without buying it. :)
I now use Eas-Fix, which is much better than windows restore (IMO)
