Hi, kayman, sorry to hear about your problems. You should tell us little more about your system, what you did and if there where any error messages. I'm sure, that anybody has an answer and hopefully a solution.
Meanwhile have fun in the forums.
I have installed the prog like many others before. Installation was running quite well, the windows with the activation key appears and then...nothing more.
I'm running Windows Vista on a Intel Core 2 4300 Processor, 2 GB RAM.
Do you need anything more?
Thx
kayman
Did you activate and install with right-click-administrator-rights ?
That was the first thing I learned with my new vista system.
I am having the same problem. I have full rights on this machine. I'm running XP. I have installed this twice and get the same result. It downloads and installs without incident but when you try to open it ... you see the 'logo' screen for about two seconds and then ... nothing.
@Midas exactly the same on my machine.
Yeah, I have full rights
You could try this:
Go to run - browse for the main executable of the program in the program folder and add
" /passive" (without quotes but with the space)
"C:\Program Files\Aplus Video Converter\VideoConvert.exe" /passive
Didn't work. Get an error message (file is not existing...)
Just tried it on my XP Machine. There it works fine...

Please try again:
"C:\Program Files\Aplus Video Converter\VideoConvert.exe" /passive
Now I didn't get an error message, but the same: one second start screen of the program and then nothing more.

Ditto ! I used:
"C:\Program Files\Aplus Video Converter\VideoConvert.exe" /passive
(the strings ends with .. closed parentheses, space, forward slash, passive)
Ooops I meant closed quotes
Try excluding videoconvert.exe from UAC
I think the programmer still has to tune the program.
I also tried:
1. removing the "space" (.exe"/passive)
2. placing the /passive before the close quote ( .exe /passive")
Nothing has changed the outcome.
"Try excluding videoconvert.exe from UAC"
?!? Sorry, I don't understand...
It means " user account control" but my questions are
1. how do you locate it.
2. Is it a function on XP
I am having the same problem. I have XP. I even tried "C:\Program Files\Aplus Video Converter\VideoConvert.exe" /passive . The same thing still happens. The window pops up for a half second then disappears and the program does not run.
Turning off UAC (Vista) isn't recommended(although some do)
I found this to be a workaround:
1.Click Start->All Programs->Accessories.
2.Right click Command Prompt and choose "Run As Administrator".
3.Run the application in that window.
I am the administrator already. Pgm won't run from command prompt
