Hi - I took advantage of BigFishGames 99 cent Titanic hidden object game, couldn't get it installed, finally did, but after emailing support . . . who sent me a free game code. Now, what else to get? My wife plays the games. She's still messing with MagicFarm and really enjoyed Treasures of Montezuma.
Can some of you gamers suggest a game she might love? Max 35Mb's . . . dial up (unless it's the best game ever)
Thanks Gang.

I'd suggest any one of the following games. In my opinion they have all been well wrth the $19.95 I paid for them over at Reflexive arcade:
To download a demo of any of the following games just type the name into the search engine to the top right of the home page:
1) Peggle
2) Wik and the Fable of souls
3) Ricochet Infinity You can download thousands f fan made level sets for this game. There's an option while in game to download them and they will then be utmatically installed for you.
4) Barrel Mania
5) Big Kahuna Reef 2
6) Hyperballoid 2
7) Age of Japan II
8) Zenerchi (apparently there's alink to a free version of this game somewhere in the games discussion forums)
9) ZZed
10) Star Defender 4
11) Luxor 3There are so many brilliant games, but I suppoe each game will give each of us a different buzz. I've tried to include most arcade genres in the list. Do check out the demos to see what you think

I just came by to let you all know about the Hidden Expedition - Titanic game that Big Fish Games is 'giving away', though I see MrFishy beat me to it...:D. Nonetheless, I didn't see a link posted, so I will post the URL so you all can take advantage of this great offer!

This game is only $.99 until May 29.

Mr Fishy....I listed some favorites of mine in another thread but I'm too lazy to look for it right now, but it sounds like your wife might like the same type of games as I do and my absolute alltime favorite is Bud Redhead. It is THE BEST side game I have ever seen. Fantastic graphics and sound, fun interesting gameplay. I highly recommend it. I got it at Reflexive Arcade http://www.reflexive.com/ for $19.95 and I think it's worth every penny. I also like the Super Granny series of games which you can also get from Reflexive as well as many other places including (I think) BigFish.

Hi Mr Fishy, I really suggest that your wife download all of the suggestions here and demo them first. But, to add to what's above, my favourites are:
Sheepsquest
Gemsweeper
the 3 Magic Match games
Supercow (platform)
Ouba - The Great Journey
the 2 Jewel Quest Solitaire games
Emerald Tale
Jewels of Cleopatra
Bloomas well as a lot of Stephen's above and the Super Granny series. The only one of those you can't get from Big Fish is the very first one, consequently, it is the only one I am missing.
I got all of these from BFG at US$6.99 per game. Very good value.

MrFishy....PEGGLE
I cannot express strongly enough how good Peggle is compared to most of the games on BigFish. A lot of them are good, but Peggle blows them away in my opinion. I have been a member over a year and have purchased over 30 games from them. Peggle is peerless.

I visit BigFish under four different email names. Whenever they have a sale, they send coupons to all four addresses. Then I use all the coupon codes in my one membership name, and they always accept them all. Last week I picked up 3 games for 99 cents each from a selection of 26 games.
I have seen many, many of their games in Wal-Mart for just under $20. I get them through my membership for only $6.99.
I cannot think of a better value for your money when it comes to games. BigFish is the best.

In addition to the ones listed above try
Aveyond 1 and Aveyond 2 are pretty good simplistic adventure games with a fun storyline. These are at most of the portals, including Bigfish.
Grimms Hatchery is a clicking one similar to Insaniquarium Deluxe.
Garden Defense is tower strategy game.
War on Folvos is a turn based strategy game but much simpler than the large scale video games.

Yeah, I was just being lazy. Thanks for ALL the replies. Can't help but notice only one or two titles mentioned more than once in these posts. I reckon that's freedom for ya! Looks like it's between Peggle and Insanaquarium Deluxe? Soooo many titles, so few free game codes!
I am intrigued by this Bud Redhead. The name suggests something fishy. Something about the words "red" and "bud" in the same proximity.
What's a "sidegame", Buckysmom?Posted 16 years ago #
