   Some of you have noticed over the past several months that the only new games on JenKat were trials from BigFishGames.

   I found out that as of today, all existing games that are not from BigFishGames as well as new ones (same proviso - non BigFishGames) will be the ad-supported free games from iWin.

   From what I can tell, the iWin games require the iWin game manager to be running when you play the game. At least with Big Fish, the manager is required for download/install but it is not required for running the game. You just have a limit of 1 hour to play.

   They will be developing their own games with one due out this summer so we do have that to look forward to.

   I've just found out the iWin situation, but it's a bit odd. Yes, the iWin game manager has to be running - a nuisance for those with dial-up or restricted access to internet - but although the ad-supported screen comes up, it doesn't show anything.

   It's a pity as JenKat was always such a good source especially of HOGs etc.

   Thanks for the heads up Diane. I've not downloaded any games from any of the free game sites in over a year now, so am glad you've updated us on the situation. I'll have to amend the game reviews to mention this when I next post a review next weekend.

   It's a pity also as it was the best of the four I usually quote with respect to not having to worry about tool bars etc. Ah well all good things......... :(
