   I posted a UK address and received my serial within three or four minutes :)

   Nice one, though some would say that SMART monitoring isn't all that good.

   I personally think that any advanced warning is better than none. Even if it was a false positive it's worth the effort of backing up your valuable data. And that's coming from someone whose lost over 200Gb of data in just one go after one of my HDD's died (that was less than six months old). I think it was my fault though as I didn't have adequate cooling; because after installing HDD monitoring software given away from the giveaway project I found the HDD's in my gaming machine were constantly reraching critical temperatures. All my computers have loads of cooling now. he only down side to that is there's more noise from the computers due to all the fans. I've put fans directly onto some of my HDD's as well as those that fit in the bays at the back of the computer plus decent cpu fans and inlet outlet port fans. The temperatures have dropped from 45+ degrees to 20 - 25 degrees. :)

   Lol - Yeah - I do have one game called "Anime Bowling Babes" though I never bothered to buy the strip poker game that purpordedly had virtual strippers (typical male), lol :)

   Because I'm stuck in the house I'm on the computers virtually all day and when I'm not, I often leave them on (yeah I know, not very green. But I don't drive lol). Most of the games I play are very graphic intensive, so produce a lot of heat from both the GPU and the CPU (as well as the northbridge and the four RAM sticks that I have in all of my computers) I was shocked at the amount of heat that is given off. In winter I have to open the study windows because it gets so hot in there. Especially when the kids have their computers on as well. In summer we can only have the one computer on because it gets too hot.

   Not surprisingly, with all the fans I've installed the computers never feel that hot apart from around where the power supply is situated. I'd recommend anyone adding extra cooling to their systems. It's easy to do, fans are cheap and there are different types such as those I mention above. Doing so could save you the loss of a relatively expensive HDD, or even your cpu or graphics card.

   I never realized my computers were actually overheating until I installed one of the Hard Drive monitoring programs given away here. I've since bought the program so that I can get updates. (though it's been given away twice now, and the way things seem with the project it could very well be given away again). :) Which would be fabulous as the licence I bought is only good for one computer. ;)
