   I downloaded and installed the game before the giveaway period was over and i keep getting this debug message. I would like to send an image of what it says but I don't see where to send attachments in the forum. It says Debug Assertion Failed! with a big red circle with a white or grey X.

   The error suggests that one of your Visual C++ runtime libraries has been corrupted.

   You can try Windows Update and see if it will download and install the correct version or you can download using the below links. The problem is likely with the library for Visual C++ 2005, 2008 or 2010 but it won't cause a problem if you install all of those that are appropriate for your system.

   Visual C++ 2005 (x86)
   Visual C++ 2005 (x64)
   Visual C++ 2008 (x86)
   Visual C++ 2008 (x64)
   Visual C++ 2010 (x86)
   Visual C++ 2010 (x64)
   Visual C++ 2012 (x86 and x64)
   Visual C++ 2013 (x86 and x64)

   The x86 versions will only work on 32-bit systems but you need both the x86 and x64 versions on 64-bit systems. Because Microsoft is run by idiots the file name is the same for each download so rename the file to reflect the year and system as you download it (for the first one save vcredist.exe as vcredist 2005 x86.exe).
