   whitemist-
   read my above post. what you see are 10 cards from 1 pack. there are 9 more packs to redeem.

   you can't enter the game from here, you must load and launch from your computer/desktop. i continue to get the patch update page, but after i updated once, i just ignored it and hit launch when ready. when you login and enter the game the first time (after you have your booster packs) you will go through a tutorial. it is very confusing, at least it was for me. it assumes you know some basic things, which i did not know-even after reading all the info there was to read. after the basic tutorial, you can start to build your nation.

   that is as far as i got. i built and named my nation, designed my flag and had to quit for the night before i built my army.

   hope this helps a little.

   Funky....I don't get it, where exactly are you seeing this option to redeem 10 booster packs? Is it online on the Buy Boosters tab? That's where I found mine but it only says 3 are available. I redeem the first one and when I try to redeem the next one it says, "Error - Already Has Booster today!" I discovered I could get the next pack the next day, but still there are only 3 packs available.

   I've gone through the first part of the tutorial and even did some "fighting" in my nation, but this booster pack thing is driving me crazy.....UGH!

   then log in. The page that you are presented with should say account status unregistered. Below this are four choices. The second one says:

   Redeemable booster packs

   Click on this and it will take you to the page where you can download all ten, though you have to do it one at a time. Each booster pack should contain 10 cards. Click on the button that says Redeem

   The page that it takes you to has three buttons to the middle right of the page that say auto arrange, reveal all and redeem another.

   Your first boosters should be on the page, click on auto arrange to spread them out, then reveal all to see what you have, then click on redeem another, continue until you've redeemed all ten packs.

   You will be able to utilize these units later on when you start to build your land armies. Not all of them can be used at the beginning as you can only have 200 units to manage at the beginning of the game, though you can customize your armies, once you can afford to keep them.

   The units can be utilized/activated by clicking on the main building in your city which brings up a small window. Click on the third icon to manage your units. I'm not able to access the game at this time as the servers are down, so can't describe exactly what the icon looks like; the first one is to manage the peasants in your nation. Clicking on that one enables you to allocate the ones you have (which is 10 to start) to specific tasks such as building or farming, though farming wont be available until you've build a farm.

   There is a button that opens up a menu which shows you all the units you've amassed from the ten booster packs, of which there are 100 (10x10), though some units such as the archers and pike men will have been repeated three or four times as these are your basic army units that you'll need more than one units worth (I unit of human pikemen for example is equivalent to 25 men, but if you select elven archers then there will only be 6 men (or women, lol) Though before you start to develop your standing army, you need to develop your nation so that you can feed and train your armies. :)

   Error message the same for 2 days: timeout trying to connect to server. If I ignore message, patcher will load, files will install and then splash screen shuts itself off..back to desktop.

   Error repeats with every attempt. Patch repeats with every attempt.

   Nvidia driver updated today (Nvidia GeForce8800GT on this XP machine with 2G memory); haven't dared try it on new machines). Restart machine; error repeats.

   Monitor freq added to Saga; machine restarted; error repeats.

   Manually downloaded and installed patches; restart machine; error repeats.

   Reinstalled game; restart machine; error repeats.

   Network connections refreshed and double/triple-checked.

   Firewall, anti-spyware and anti-virus all off for these attempts (yeah, gotta live dangerously once in a while..it's good for the soul). Off, because UDP external ports were given (19691-19701) but my DSL modem demands an internal port also; unable to locate information on developer's site or GAoTD forums.

   I even registered/purchased the game and still am unable to get the thing to play.

   Perhaps increase timeout to infinity? Been years since I tried that one and doubt chemo-fog will clear long enough for me to remember how to do it. Could really use some suggestions on troubleshooting.

   Try cleaning out all your internet temp files. Just right click on your internet browsers icon and select internet properties. I'd delete everything (unless you want to keep some of the cookies) You can be selective. Judging by your post and the hardware you have I'm sure you know what youtr doing anyway.

   Also try turning off your modem and re booting it (leave for a couple of minutes before turning the power back on. Then try re connecting.

   I hope these suggestions help as the game is definitely worth some time. Hopefully if you've managed to register you'll be able to troubleshoot after the giveaway. The admins from SAGA have said theres a life time support with this game and that anyone having problems will be supported.

   Is the NVidia driver recently released? I to have an NVidia 8800GT, but haven't bothered to update my drivers for ages.

    Wabbit .. yes, the Nvidia driver is relatively new: 12 December 2007, version 169.21. You can download it here.

    As for the temp files, they were deleted before every reboot..sigh..and the entire network was reconfigured/reinstalled yesterday. Still no joy.

    As for knowing what I'm doing ..grin..that depends on the level of chemo fog on any given day. I may have taught a skill yesterday that I simply cannot grasp today. Never can tell. It's a lot like early stages of Alzheimer's. On the bright side: every day's experiences are brand new!

    Yes, that's the page I'm going to but mine comes up differently. The first option says Free Boosters 2 of 3 and there's a Redeem button (it did say 3of 3 but I've redeemed one). The second option says Redeemable Booster Packs, but underneth that it says "No available packs", and the only thing to click on is the Buy boosters button. (I'll email you a screenshot).
