Don’t do what I did!!! I was playing the game just fine & got up to level 15 when I thought gee wouldn’t it be nice if the game was a little larger. So I closed the game and went to the desktop icon I hade made & right clicked on it, at the bottom of the pop up window I chose open in Maximixed window. The trouble is now I can’t lay the game because everything is outside of the window when the game opens. Even the Indian princess’s head is cut off! I tried setting it back to normal window but that didn’t work either because it wasn’t a normal window to begin with. I have tried to uninstall it and re-install it about 5 times now with no luck. It keeps wanting to put an over sized image in the window that opens & I can’t get it to go back to the tall skinny one it started with. I’m running Windows 8.1 with internet exployer as my browser. Anyone got any ideas on how to get the game back to normal? Even though I have uninstalled & re-installed it still remembers I’m on level 15, so I must be missing something somewhere.

It was just a winrar for the install so it shouldn't play too much with the registry.
It didn't create a shortcut so beyond the basics, you can't expect everything to work with a self-created shortcut. I did the same thing but I don't put it on the desktop. I'm only running Win 7 so my options may be different than yours.
I checked Appdata, and Programdata and can't find anything and couldn't find anything pertinent in the registry. None is suprising given how it installed.
I suggest you DELETE the game folder entirely (not an uninstall), then reboot, and then try re-creating it.

Yea, nah I tried that, The browser seams to remember that it is suppose to start the game in a maximized window & immeadiately fills the screen upon start up. I even tried to run restore but for some reason it won't accept any restore points.

Why would the browser care how the game starts? It doesn't start in a browser.

Okay, It's not a browser window, it just appears as one. It's a full screen window, with enlarged graphics that go beyond the border of the window so most of the game is out side of your view and it is not changeable. I have tried just deleteing the files, the install & download files, but that doesn't work either. When I re-download the game, everything is fine untill I double click on the ColorBlock.exe file. It still opens full screen & it knows that I left off at level 15. It knowing what level I had made it to, tells me somewhere other than the ColorBlock_Game file there is a record of the game settings & data. The Windows operating system must be keeping a record of the data some where in the system. I'm headed into regedit to see if I can find out where. I've tried using firefox to download the game but that didn't make any difference in the games functionality.

I didn't install the game but it seems to me that you're looking too hard for the solution.
You say "So I closed the game and went to the desktop icon I had made" and trouble ensues. Uninstalling the program has no impact on the icon you created.
So, right-click on the icon. Select "properties", then click the "compatibility" tab and see what you've selected. At a minimum, you might need to select "disable display settings on high dpi settings".

Good Point! I have that issue all the time on other games and I never thought of that.
I tried that setting in windowed mode and it made no difference (at least not with my machine using Win 7) but it might if I were to maximize.

Did you try Minimized. Not Normal Window.
