To add to what Wot@n said, much of what is offered on GOTD is what I would term "immature software". It's either a work in progress and/or the developer is trying to capture some market share. Language packs require time and money to implement. The best way to secure an Italian Language Pack is to support the developer by purchasing the software and then asking for an Italian Language Pack on their website. They're not going to invest the time and money unless you invest some time and money. If you can convince one company that the Italian market is a growth market then the rest will follow like digital sheep.
I will also point out that the English version may, in fact, be the Italian version. At least, it's the version envisioned by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto. See Pareto principle
Google Translation of Wot@n:
Hello,
my answer is not official. The site and the forum are two different things.
So this is just my opinion.
Unfortunately most of the software companies are not Italian, and our language, in terms of "possible financial return" is not worth much. Sad but true.
Also now, everything is based on the English language, and consequently few, or only large software house, they decide to translate into many languages (also including those of low prevalence, and among those, also Italian).
Finally, the site is the Anglo-Saxon and therefore is "obvious" that dot on their native language.
Consequently, as a council, always considers everything as "English". If then among the options there is also the Italian language ... it could be a pleasant surprise.
Again, that's just my opinion, and so there may be many other reasons.
