I have the downloaded file but every time I try to run it I'm told it is expired. The page said it was continued for 5 days so I need help to get it working.

MemberDon't use the GOTD setup....go to the main website & download the one there. And then put in the registration key given to us in the GOTD Readme file. Or install the free version & then try to put in the registration code. Good luck-I don't think we need 5 days..I think we just may need 5 YEARS to get this registered!! Yep, I still can't get it to work. What on Earth is wrong with this website??

MemberI have wasted time on three days now trying to get an answer from a website that cannot be contacted and a developer who seems to be similarly disposed. Developer ignores emails and does not provide actual access to this "free" software. Even if I were retired or unemployed my time would have value and it is being wasted in pursuit of Start Menu X registration which so far has been completely fruitless. The registration for money site comes right up though.
Have seen no additional comments from GOTD on this one, and since it failed for so many I find that surprising.
Unimpressed.

AdministratorPerhaps the site was down when you looked and it's now back up but the freeware is clearly listed on the right side of the page with a big download button.
At any rate, I'd try what Delenn suggested above, download the freeware version and paste the registration code in it. Maybe that would work. It's also possible that a re-run is in the works.

MemberRight-click on the start menu X icon in the system tray and choose "Add features to Start Menu X" - These are the same instructions included in the Readme file with GOTD's original offer. You can't install GOTD's version anymore since that's coded to only last the one day but just download the one on the website but use the Registration Number in the original ReadMe file.
And having said that, I STILL CAN'T GET IT REGISTERED! If this is not the norm for this company and there's a known solvable problem, I highly recommend GOTD report that to us because at this point, I'm likely WARN everybody to stay away from that company. This whole thing just seems inexcusable to me. :-\

MemberAnother day and it still does not register. Server problems for this long with no update to us from GOTD or the developer (who does not answer emails).
Please tell me how I should not feel that this is just "mess".
Still unimpressed.

MemberHave to agree with others. This giveaway was a disaster - for both the Start X company & GAOTD. Something like this should never happen in the first place, but even when it does, certainly it could be fixed within a few hours, maybe a day at the most. I had this installed on both my prior computers & loved it, so I was glad to see it offered again so I could get it on my new computer. And then this happens. C'mon GAOTD, live up to our expectations & your previous great offerings by getting this FIXED & offer it again in the near future. This situation does not inspire confidence in your users.

Also, since I dogged out the developer for not responding to emails I must say in fairness that I received the same email that you posted above.

MemberI got the same email (thank you!!) & finally got the software installed. It looks great & is working flawlessly right now. The purchase price of $6 is surely fair & since the company finally came through & honored their offering, I'll probably go ahead & make the purchase.

Start Menu X Rerun is on the wayWe know how frustrating it might be when you download a piece of software and can’t get it activated. Unfortunately, that was exactly the case of Start Menu X. We are very sorry for the inconveniences, but sometimes things just get too complicated.
Nevertheless, OrdinarySoft kindly agreed to provide us with a completely activated version of Start Menu X and we will be glad to share it with you. The rerun will start on Saturday (31.01) at 8 a. m. as usual. So, if you missed the opportunity to register the software, you will be able to grab it tomorrow within 24 hours. As we’ve already mentioned, the software will be fully activated, so there will be no need to register it.

MemberI downloaded the Start menu x pro yesterday. After installation I received a window that I had downloaded start menu x pro but I don't think I have the pro version. I does not show pro version in the title. Also When I click on the options button so I can manage my programs in groups, I do not get that option. Did I not get the pro version. What did I do wrong if so?
