I have tried three times to install, just in case it was an installation problem, but I can't get this game to launch. I'm using Win XP SP2, and I can usually get the programs and games to load.
I DL'd Ingenious, unzipped, and ran the Setup program; I don't get any message that it has finished installing, but the "Activated" webpage loads in my browser. I am able to see that the unpacked contents include Ingenious.exe (and I know how to make a shortcut once I know it works), but when I double-click the .exe, all it does is hang up my system and eat 90% or more of the CPU power. I tried the first time to kill the program after 5 minutes with AnVir from last week, but that caused AnVir to crash. (AnVir didn't autoload when I rebooted after deleted Ingenious to try all over again...) I can kill it with Task Manager.
Since there is no uninstall and Ctrl Panel can't find it to uninstall, I've just deleted the folder and tried again with a fresh download -- all to no avail. Three tries and still I can't get it to launch or start to load.
I'd really like to get this game, but I can't figure out where it is failing...please help!

Memberjd613: Go to the comments section of the INGENIOUS download game page. Read my comments #57 and #59. I have uploaded a file fix that may help you with the game. Many others tried it and the fix worked for them.

Memberhave you shut down your system recently ... i know when i leave mine running for days things start to not function properly so try restarting your computer and downloading and installing it again.. hope this helps

I've tried to uninstall Ingenious and so far been unsuccessful.
It appears the game doesn't have an uninstaller or at least I can't find one.
Also tried w Revo & Cleanse UnInstaller: It doesn't appear listed in neither of them.It never happened b4, so I'm stumped!!
Does any of the game's Gurus know what else can I try?

I didn't download it this time around as I already had it. But I checked and mine has a short cut to uninstall in my Start menu and I went to the Program folder and it had the exe there. SO.... I don't have a clue. Strange.
And I am still curious.... No answer from my ADMIRAL SEED. :(

Memberlekanaw- i too wanted to uninstall. i did a search of my computer for ingenious and deleted everything that came up. then i searched again, just in case. i'm not sure that this is correct or the best way to do it, but it's what i did.

My uninstall folder is there, but it's empty!!! Will find the .exe, see if i can get rid of it.

Just glad I dwlded it *only* on Hubby's laptop, generally once I decide to dwld, I put SW/Games on every PC.
Geee, what an hassle it has been!! It freezed the machine, then impossible to shut it down and then slowed it down even when not launched. What's up w that!?!Anyway, will try both tactics later when he brings his laptop back.
