As I said way back 6 (yikes SIX!?!?) hours ago, I don't wish to suffer or cause misunderstandings with you. If you felt it was my intent to "spar", you were mistooken. I have no idea whether you took first umbrage at the Chinese keyboard joke or my anecdote about the translator backfiring or my aside about uncontrolled immigration, but there was/is no "game" afoot. My initial desire was to help YOU with the backtick confusion. I tried my hand at a translation, ragged on US-made keyboards as being less flexible, and even proffered a Windows utility some may not have tried. My handicap is not being able to read between lines, while you may be reading too much. You teasingly needled me with the closeminded intolerant comment to which I responded in a verbose manner, which is my wont when the topic arises. (as it sometimes does by those feeling a bit self-righteous about their own POV)
But for your pressing on with that undeservedly condescending post, I'd have seen no reason to continue, but a cheap shot begs for rebuttal. No wonder Bubby wants to clamp down on this stuff. Sparring over irreconcilable issues never solves anything; hasn't been my entertainment of choice for years; rarely converts anyone's basic beliefs. FWIW, I never found an able opponent when it came to debating such issues, perhaps because I didn't seek to "win" so much as expose polarized zealotry for what it is. Most resorted to emotionalist pleas and illogically fallacious, round robin arguments, then limped away thinking they'd won. Fine by me.
Walls, hands, opposing POVs, choirs, it makes no nevermind. In the end, nobody wins. It's been loads more fun assisting with tech problems, discovering/sharing software and acclimating to feminine teasing. I still can't reliably differentiate between teasing and wholesale skin kicking, though.
