Since so many people have been suggesting software recently, I think it would be a good idea to add a form somewhere to the site for software suggestions. It's just a suggestion, I'm not sure if it would be abused, etc. I just think it would help clear up the forums a little... I know it would take some time to make, but even sometime in the future it would be nice. Even an email address would help, like suggestions@. Everyone could email their suggestions, and then admin would eventually read it. Just an idea...

So many times before, there have been suggestions here, about which software should be offered.
I don't remember that any of it has been offered!
Mostly, I like that Admin and other stuff isn't showing any interest, about what are we speaking here...(ironicaly said) Admin, only makes new posts, and sais: "Discuss it here!". That's all. No word from here, elsewhere...Posted 17 years ago # -

Member"stamba" - You are mistaken. I requested software for cataloging movies last December personally. GOTD replied that they wouldn't be offering the program I suggested; but, would soon be offering one similar. A few days later, the program of the day was "AllMyMovies". I was "new" to this site and had trouble downloading. I posted a request for help and GOTD replied the same day. I replied that I thought I had done it myself and thanked them.
This was prior to "thchan" creating the "Un-Offical GOTD Launcher". (Which I Always use now.) I successfully downloaded the program; but, it appears I failed to "activate" it. I was regretfully a confused "Newcomer" to this service & assumed I had done the activation.
I am now hopeing GOTD may find and offer it or another again. I have explored GOTD list of "free programs" (Which I recommend). The one that looks the most promising from whom I think is Spanish, lacks the features I need.
I belive the GOTD team uses their time more productively getting more "giveaways" than providing repeatitived suppoert to "newcomers" or replying to all the forum posts. I've found the "community" of downloaders here are very helpful to everyone.
Please don't take it personally if you donot get a reply to your suggestions or requests personally from the GOTD team.Posted 17 years ago # -

I don't take it personly, because I have asked only for MojoPack. It doesn't matter.
The problem is that I see a lot of support requests here, and no replies from the admins. Only community respods. I didn't know that they respond over e-mail, I have never tried to contact them by e-mail.
If that is the case, I appologize to the GOTD team. Only thing I blame them is that don't show up on forums too many times. Everything else is just perfect. I have wrote (somewhere in the forums) about the idea of giving and software apps that they are giving away. It's great!Posted 17 years ago # -

MemberOff topic, but it was mentioned by lwbjag; where can one download the un-official GOTD Launcher? I now have 3 copies, none of which work, yet people are talking about using it. If there is a copy available, where is it and why aren't people who are having trouble with the downloads led to it each day, at least until they get the hang of things? I would like to have it in case I get into trouble and time is running short. Thanks to anyone who can help...

I absolutely love this program, though I just can't bring myself to pay for it...I figured this was a good a place as any to put forward the suggestion that even an old version of this would be fantastic.

Thanks for the lead - I got ahold of tj and am sending him the specifics on my problem. He sent me to a copy of Launcher 1.01 (It's in these forums here somewhere)which I downloaded and still it won't work. I'm waiting to hear back from him before I try for today's stuff. Anyway, thanks again for your help!

MemberI would personally like to see a video converter much like Total Video Converter: it has excellent quality for converting and it's the only video converter that will convert my avi's to ZUNE wmv...geez i tried like 7 freeware/shareware programs but only this one satisfyied my needs!
