I don't mean to get your hopes up - but exactly what sort of "activities" do you want to monitor - is this purely a network type monitor of "what websites do they visit?", "how much bandwidth/data does each PC suck from the net?"
or more intrusive style - "what apps do they run", "what keys do they push"
As you can appreciate there is a fairly broad scope when it comes to monitoring from simple firewall logs, to the "verging on spyware" style automated screenshots and keyloggers.
Naturally other users don't appreciate the latter style of monitoring as it does have some fairly serious breach of trust and privacy implications. However some parents might choose to resort to this as a means of keeping tabs on their own young children, when direct supervision is not possible.
Thank you for your reply.
I just want to monitor the number of PC's connected to my wireless network, the websites visited and bandwidth utilization!!
I don't think, I wanna go for the second option. It might be inappropriate and could call for the security issues.
Waiting for your reply.
shouldn't matter if it's wired or wireless, just google for network monitor and find what suits.
Unless you can access the snmp features in the router (what brand? I spotted one for linksys that's free) monitoring transfer volume is hard, finding attached computers is fairly easy.
sites visited... tough, although I don't know the limits of snmp logging, really.
I have Netgear ADSL router. I tried to find the snmp feature but there is no feature with this name.
Googled 'network monitor' but couldnt get anything convincing.
Any suggestions what software would be appropriate???

Do you know the exact model number of the router?
