maizeydaze........aha !....it is a keepsake, and as you are aware i tend to have lots of keepsakes, some in pockets, but in this case i ate what was attached to the PG-01, not all in one sitting, lots of it went into the freezer? very tasty? i had a good laugh last night with my visitors and we were joking about daft statements we made over the years! one of mine was when i visited the hearing clinic, i was asked did any of my family have hearing problems? i replied, "no they all died before they went deaf" nobody laughed for a few heartbeats....then we all started as soon as i realized just what i said.

Paulga- well, I, finally, found the garden picture with the gate. I still do not know what IT is, but I want your garden too!
__________________EDIT____________________
I just read your "hearing" story...LOL!________________RE-EDIT______________________
Antelope or something similar...horned and deer-like?
______________Re-Re-Edit_____________________Oooh! I hope it's not Cernunnos!!!!
Posted 16 years ago # -
it's an very old giant pike (Esox lucius) with algae on it's skin
Posted 16 years ago # -
Yes, I agre with maizey.. some kind of deer or elk or moose horns!
Lovely slide show, with music even! Is that your son in some of those pictures?
I meant to ask you.. easier than looking all over the forums, what kind of new camera did you get to take all those lovely shots with?? They've all come out so crisp and clear! Another thought.. you said you had just gotten through feeding Precious.. well on 2nd thought, I sure hope it's a girl kitty! LOL I don't think Precious is a good boys name, unless it's like that old song, "A boy named Sue"? Is is a girl?Oh, our lilac is blooming: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg264/copmom_photo/public/Smallcamera5-2008021.jpg
And that little dog of yours reminds me of my hubbys Scooter, same coloring but a shorter snout:
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg264/copmom_photo/public/12-2004.jpgAnd..... here's something.. what are these from???
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg264/copmom_photo/Private/Smallcamera5-2008007-1.jpgPosted 16 years ago # -
Folks YOU are so clever!!!
1. copmom got half marks for guessing, some sort of tusk on an animal.
2. maizeydaze gets TOP marks for perseverance in finding the actual picture, where IT
was located, plus "Antelope or something similar...horned and Deer like" and that
additional info was why i kept it, because of Cernunnos....fertility thing, as was
the newt?
3. graylox...it sure looks like "Esox Lucius" with algae when you look at the clue!
4. copmom....that Photo Story had oldies pictures, that young man was me? and the
camera is a Sony Cyber-shot, DSC-W55, 7.2 Mega pixels, 2.5 LCD monitor, Macro
function 2cm...Carl Zeiss, sells over here for £200 euro.Posted 16 years ago # -
Here is the garden picture where the "what is it" is located, and a close up of the actual!
http://www.divshare.com/download/4538086-7f5maizeydaze......your prize http://www.divshare.com/download/4541972-be0
it took me 20 mins to upload it to Divshare, after i ripped and stored it, i must add i have never shared photo's before, only because i did not know how, as with anything posted.
maizeydaze the prize is appropriate to your visits to the woods, "its audio"
Posted 16 years ago # -
copmom......i love lilac, the scent, i can remember it as with fresh cut grass, and your correct, hubbys Scooter has markings like my Hudson, "who is 98 yrs" well 14 of our years. As for "what are these from?....emmmmmm...snow....cotton wool...sorry copmom i had the same results in the forum last week, as they used to say in Hawaii 50 "book her Danno"

Paulga, It appears the fertility charm worked for your cat. How about for you? So, exactly what is it...an antelope or something else?
As for the prize, I'm still downloading...10 minutes and counting.
___________________________________________
Copmom, there is nothing there on your last picture. Did you move it? Also, your folder named "Private" is NOT LOCKED. If you need me to explain how to do this just ask. I'll do my best. My lilacs are just starting to bloom too. Love the scent!
____________________________________________
Grrr, the download is stuck with 0.07 seconds and 0.1MB to go!!!! It's not changing. Now what? Should I abandon this download and retry?
____________________________________________
Here I go again! Retry #01. See you a little later....Posted 16 years ago # -
maizeydaze.....yep i hinted at copmoms blank entry, reminds you of me last week?? on "cave" i copied and pasted what WAS there but it never appeared, just one of those mysteries? Oh dear me, you were nearly there with the download, only 0.07 seconds to go!
you can abandon it and re start the download again,"when you have time" but i promise you will like it, play it to make you relax, sit back, close your eyes, which is hard to do sitting in front of a computer, and ITS a goat.Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
I think I'll try later. Now it's stuck at 26%. There seems to be some problems on the internet today. Even Google is pooping out, where as Yahoo is working fine. Yesterday, it was the reverse. Could be some power outages or lines down somewhere.
A goat? I hope I get this!
Posted 16 years ago # -
maizeydaze......yep i had a tad of trouble linking to Divshare, then suddenly it came through, as i said do it when you have time, "do you use Firefox"?
i have to admire your perseverance in seeking out that picture of the "Goats head, skull and horns" and yes the "cernunnos" certainly works on the cats, tis a celtic thing, sometimes people place them on boats......and it works for me too?Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
Ha, ha, ha! I thought the download or my computer was the goat! "sitting in front of a computer, and ITS a goat." LOL! I'm a bit slow today. As for the cernunnos, we don't want that kind of charm around here. BTW, I just ate some venison sausage for lunch.
Yes, I have been using Firefox for some time now. Going to give it another try now.
______________________________________________________I got it! I'm listening to it right now. WOW! What a lost of singing! Thank you, I like it!
I could record some here some morning or in the evening when the peepers join in. There aren't quite as many, but there are some great and beautiful singers. I'll have to give it a try.
Posted 16 years ago # -
maizeydaze.......i am pleased you liked it, kind of befitting, with you walking in the woods, do you wear a hat after your "bit of luck dropping on your head"? you have ME laughing now, i did add "and ITS a Goat" at the end of that post and it sure looked like i was downloading a Goat. The sounds were recorded in Ireland, in a nature reserve in Co Cork, the birds you hear are,Yellowhammer, Great Tit, Song Thrush, Blackbird, Woodpigeon, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, Pheasants, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Sedge Warbler,Cuckoo, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Crows, oh and some sheep! and listen close you will hear a Tractor Engine,( don't know the make )

Yes, I forgot I had move the link from private to public.. DUH
What is it from?
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg264/copmom_photo/public/Smallcamera5-2008007-1.jpgOH, what is that green slimy looking stuff at the bottom of those horns? Looks a bit gross!
Our Scooter is 8 yrs. old, but is already getting totally gray on his face. His face used to be as brown as his spots are.Took me about 1-1/2 min. to download that audio file with a program called downthemall, it's fast. It's a firefox addon I believe: http://www.downthemall.net/
Great bird songs. Just the other evening hubby & I were sitting in the front porch rockers about 7pm and all was still outside except for hearing the birds chirping. So nice and peaceful!Maizy, forgot how to lock the private, double duh!
Posted 16 years ago # -
it downloaded quite quickly for me, under a minute, i think.
paul- when did i expose some tattoos? are you spying on me? have you and dan joined together to form a stalkers union?
btw, all of my tattoo's are suitable for mixed company.
;DPosted 16 years ago # -
o.k. i had prepared a few pics over the weekend, and coincidentally, this one seems very apropos after paul's pic.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Oh, Funky! Is #8 polar bear toenails?
Posted 16 years ago # -
copmom......oh you do show difficult ones! and its harder when trying to connect it to what WE have here, as sometimes it does not grow here!
my guess is a fruit tree......for starters, as the Govenor of Florida said, "ahl be back " oh that green slimy stuff on the Goats Shull is algae, we get loooooots of rain here, thats why its so green everywhere. Your downloading the audio file was fast, as i have Firefox 14 i must get that addon , my downloads are about 90 to 100 kb per second, mostly that is, sometimes it is a lot slower, depending what is going in the background? Scooter looks good, if i had a choice i would choose a short haired dog, but thats not how we get them? and they remain with us, so you also liked the "Dawn Chorus"Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
maizey- your pretty close.
paul- it's the governor of california (close, they are both warm states with palm trees and a disney park) who was the terminator.

Funky #08 - I'm going with my first guess, a dog's claws. (My hubby said it was a bear.)
Posted 16 years ago # -
dog's claws, technically they belong to sadie belle
maizey-i'll have your prize later, i'm on the run.
but, i do have time to post: funky wii#9 and funky wii#10
i am posting both, because although they are separate, unrelated items, they are a part of the same picture.
Posted 16 years ago # -
copmom........is it a paw paw tree?
Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
funkymom....wow what claws, paw claw, hold it i just wrote that....noooo it was paw paw, copmoms "what is it" so we got two, a double whammy! ah to funkymoms "What is it" vases, as for flowers?............this is getting complicated.......going Potty
Paulga

Posted 16 years ago # -
maizeydaze.......ok....i still can not get used to a forum, i was sure somebody said you had to indicate you were bogging out...logging out, reminds me of "Meatloaf" the song, " i wont do that"
copmom.....i am sure your "what is it" is a Paw Paw tree just changing from blossom to fruit?
Paulga
Posted 16 years ago # -
Copmom...is that dogwood?
Funky.... #9 a plastic lampshade, #10 a clay vase or pitcher?
Posted 16 years ago # -
maizey- here is your prize for funky wii#8: mirror magic.
sadie was really enjoying that treat.maizey- you also got #9.
paul and buckleysmom tied for #10 (paul was first, but bkm was more specific)
the pottery was made by my step-dad and the picture was taken by my daughter. she has a really great eye and has taken some amazing pictures. i'm thinking of making a blog/website just to showcase her photography. if i do, you all will receive invites.
bkm- this is for you. i seem to recall you mentioning hidden object games: paparazzi it's only an online trial, but it's fun.
paul-since you have so much experience with this in your neck of the woods, how about a game of defend your castle
maizey- check out your face
Posted 16 years ago # -
It'll be nice to get caught up enough to join back in.
sorry for being outta touch, too many things I need to get done (or modify on the fly) to even keep track of what's going on in the forums.
maybe I'll be back in 4-5 days. I'll leave a couple pix on the way out.
Did you know this is the only town in the US named Drain?
here's the Drain 'Castle', the home of the town's founders.
and here's an indication of how modern the railroad keeps the signaling poles and lines. Yep, rusty iron lines and glass insulators.
