Looks to me like a piece of wadded up kleenex! Or perhaps a cotton boll??

ooh, nice. a Mark II 678 target model. I have a Mark I, same setup. 6-7/8" semi-bull barrel.
The ruger standard (I prefer the 6" version, got one) and the Mark I and II (terri has a 6" mk II) versions are possibly the most reliable .22 pistols ever made. It takes a *lot* of neglect just to have one not feed, much less misfire.
only reason I keep the 422 in the house is because it has drop-free mags, so I can get a second or third decade of ammo off in a hurry if I need to.
that and terri's hands are weak- the alloy frame makes it easier for her. she can't even pick up the browning BDM.
as for the pic- I was thinking at first of an animal like a skunk with a shock of white hair on the noggin, but I'll try a burl or knot of wood with white moss or grass on it.
that's not just blurred, that's really artifacted by jpeg compression. I like to keep mine in the 85-94 quality range.

Copmom, it's not kleenex or a cotton ball.
Goody, it's not a skunk or wood and no moss or grass. This picture was taken through glass, using 4X zoom on the camera. There was probably some movement too, but it is at 100% size and at maximum quality for JPEG compression. There is another reason for the blurred appearance. Wait until you see what it is!

Inside your cats ear?

Posted 16 years ago # -
The head of a hedgehog?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Not a rodent, but it's alive.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Part of a wing on a butterfly or moth?
Posted 16 years ago # -
copmom, it doesn't fly.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Part of a plant? Or a spider egg sac??
Posted 16 years ago # -
No, Those are too small.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Your dog? A Poodle or Schnauzer, perhaps?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Maizey.....is it a cacoon?
Goody....like the pic of the evergreen. Is that a Frazier?
Posted 16 years ago # -
PLady and BK, dogs and cocoons are too small too.
Posted 16 years ago # -
OK must think "big"! Is it bigger than a breadbox? LOL
Posted 16 years ago # -

Posted 16 years ago # -
An elephant holding something in its trunk?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Well, it's not a cow, horse, bear or sasquatch. You were warm once, but not now. Sorry, Goody.
And, it's not an elephant. Too bad for you too, Copmom.

I took this picture last Saturday out of my vehicle window. Had to stop because it would have done some damage if we would of hit it.Posted 16 years ago # -
MD#50.....is it an elk or moose? Or is that too big now?
Goody.....The needles sure look like a frazier, the kind that doesn't pick and prick you, but I don't remember them having those yellowish bud things. Course it's been a mighty long time since I last went walkin through the woods. Could also be a sprintime thing. I always liked fraziers for Christmas trees because of the fact the needles didn't poke you or fall off and the trees smelled like orange....oooooooohhhhh
....sweet memories!Posted 16 years ago # -
MD#50......long horned ram (do they have those in your neck of PA)?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Or even a short horned ram! LOL How about a buck.. male deer?
Posted 16 years ago # -
BK, It's a bull elk! Yes, you've won!
It looks blurry because it's shedding. These monsters are getting to be all over the place around here. The cow ran across the road first. Then the bull stopped to look both ways before crossing.

Hi Maizey
I guess the sign next to it was 'mind the crossing elks'?
:)Wow:
Elk cows average 225 kg (500 lb), stand 1.3 m (4½ ft) at the shoulder, and are 2 m (6½ ft) from nose to tail. Bulls are some 25% larger than cows at maturity, weighing an average of 320 kg (700 lb), standing 1.5 m (5 ft) at the shoulder and averaging 2.5 m (8 ft) in length.[15] The largest of the subspecies is the Roosevelt elk, found west of the Cascade Range in the U.S.

Gray & Goody......Nope, I really think it's not a juniper but a fraser (I spelled it wrong before) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Abies_fraseri_cone.jpg See the difference in the needles? The juniper looks way to pointy IMHO. Either way it brought back nice Christmas memories.
Maizey....thanks for the paint ball.....cute game!
Posted 16 years ago # -
Oh yeh.....Maizey.....wanted to say I kinda thought you'd have elk out your way. We have friends in.....oh, can't think of the name of the town but it's slightly sw of Williamsport and they have elk in their back yard. They are impressive when you see them "in person".
