I'll take a look. if it's a lighter it's not a bic or zippo. I'm fighting with imageshack, it's saying 'what 4 photos??'... and I added to that url posting.

BK-1 battery compartment?
Posted 16 years ago # -
how much smaller than my frying pan?
good brand, too.
Posted 16 years ago # -
I have big palms.
The wife got me that as "an ashtray I'd have to try *hard* to break."
Posted 16 years ago # -
goody, they didn't look so big in the pictures with your finger mouse.
Posted 16 years ago # -
those were just fingertips, no palm shown. Ok, I'll stop quibbling.

Not the bottom of a mouse or lighter, not part of my sewing machine, not a battery compartment. Gee.....I thought you guys would know this right off.....specially you, Maizey and Goody......there's probably one very close to you right now......well, at least Maizey.....not sure about Goody.....but possibly.
Posted 16 years ago # -
well, don't know what is very close to maizey right now, but I guess this is under Mr. Data's left thumb's nail

Gray......did you make those huge tomatoes and stuff in that tiny frying pan?
Posted 16 years ago # -
after use, you can shrink those pans; so they need less space in the cupboard
But, did you ever make tomato salad in a frying pan ?Posted 16 years ago # -
those turkeys are wild ?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Hey! Whatever works. Shrinking frying pans......now that's a cool concept. I think you should patent those babies.

graylox.. what cute little cast iron frying pans!
buckleysmom... neat turkey pictures! I wish I'd taken a pix of the flock of 12 that was here on Thanksgiving Day!!Posted 16 years ago # -
Buckley - the text links work fine.I was wondering,by the looks of your pics.you seem to live in a very rural area,(the Boonies)as I call it.Would seem that way because of the wooded area in the backround of the pics.my kind of backyard looks great and I enjoy having wildlife around.
In the fall we get hundreds of geese in the pond, as they make thier way south for the winter. They spend the day in the corn fields that surround me, and just around dusk come in to land on the pond for the night. This will go on for a couple of weeks and then they move on.Posted 16 years ago # -
Say, is BK-1 where you thread a sewing machine?
Scuba.. the boonies are great! We moved here from city living and love it! Don't miss all the traffic one bit!

graylox I'm curious about the one in this picture, what are the rings for and what was this object used for.
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg31/graylox/pltt.jpgAs a small boy I remember my Grandmother had a old wood burning cooking stove and I seem to remember some objects similar to that as part of the stove.
I was just thinking how something as this simple object has just flooded me with all these wonderful memories I had with my Grandmother.
Those were the goodold days.Posted 16 years ago # -
copmom - I know exactly what you mean and totally agree.I was raised in the city (Chicago)and after high school moved to the boonies and been here since, wouldn't have it any other way.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Wasn't that one for making little pancakes? I had one for making little mini cornbreads, but it was such a pain to clean that I gave it away.

Scuba...thanks for checking the links. It's a bit rural here, not really boonies though, not anymore. What You can't see is that our neighbors house to the left is only about 20 feet from ours (built back before there were zoning laws. The thing I hate most is that no matter what side of the house you're on there's another house. I want woods, trees, water (as in pond or lake). We only have 3/4 acre and it's pie shaped. The bldg you see behind the turkeys was once a garage but it was converted years ago into 2 apartments. Great for income.....but no privacy.
Copmom.....nope......nothing to do with a sewing machine
Here's a second view of BK-1

Hey man! I'm gettin better at that link thing!

Did I already guess the bottom of a telephone? Sure looks like where you wind the line back and forth, etc. It really does look familiar!! Or.... the bottom of a stapler?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Copmom....Yep, you already said that and that's not it....not a stapler either.
Another hint.....it attaches to something.

yes, thats a miniature of a pancake pan
and you are right copmom, it's not much fun to make pancakes in those little things.I listen/read with a lot of envy about your homes. I'm living in the city, with all cars, all noise and dirt and all those people around me. For 40 years I came to Berlin from a small town, wanted to see the great, big world, wanted to learn, to have fun and thought it was freedom to live here. At the same time I always loved the peace in nature, and enjoyed our vacations in Sweden. Now I hate the town, and would like to live in the middle of nowhere. - But my ice cream dealer is only around the corner now...

Gray.....I've never liked the city but our house is nothing to be envious of I assure you. We would like to sell but it needs a lot of work. We bought it from a relative in 1983 when we were foster parents and needed a bigger house and figured we could fix it up while we all lived here, which happened for a while. But the kids are long gone and hubby lost all interest in fixing it up when he started working lots of overtime at a pharmaceutical company......so here we are.
