wax paper?
Posted 16 years ago # -
no, it's not fluffy, nor is it an unbroken sheet. though it is a sheet.- where you can see the carpet through it, those are holes.
thanks for another item to try, though.

Recap of G#17 hints:
1-the green is the carpet showing through
2-the whole thing's less than a foot across
3-I might have one
4-comes in boxes or rolls for those who use it use a lot
5-it's slippery
6-a very common housewares item
7-the white is white
8-after use, it's not slippery any more
9-it's not fluffy
10-not an unbroken sheet
11-where you can see the carpet through it, those are holes

parchment breaks rule 10.
rule 3 should be amended to you probably have a bunch, as most people use them these days, and are single-use.
add to rule 8 it's also softer.
the list looks right, though. it is not Kleenex, paper towels or t. p.
that does remind me, gotta add parchment paper to the shopping list.
I'm a bit startled, I grabbed one on a whim and never expected it to keep you guessing this long.

G#17....is it "Heat-n-Bond", the stuff you use to iron 2 things together, (they used to call it Stitch Witchery)? If that's not what it is, is it used more by men or by women?

G#17-disinfecting wipes?
Posted 16 years ago # -
nope, been wishing I could get baby wipes back in stock. The wife has alcohol wipes for blood sugar testing, though.
Posted 16 years ago # -
no, it's not stickum-clothes-together...
better yet, no stickum-at-all- and as for who uses them more depends on the household would be my guess.
I use more than terri most of the time, actually.

Buckleysmom
Hey whataya mean!! Us guys know how to do that stuff. I've been cooking my laundry and washing my dinner for a long time.Posted 16 years ago # -
Ha ha! That's the point I know very well that you guys KNOW how to do it......but hubby pretends he can't, like if he ever did laundry I know everything I own would suddenly turn some putrid shade of green or sometihng.....and I'd get the old....."Oh gee Hon, I'm sorry......don't know what I did wrong (yeh right!) But this same guy can build a whole house, take his pc apart and put it back together, AND have it work, and do all kinds of really brilliant stuff but somehow he can't do laundry, wash dishes so they're actually clean, or make himself a bowl of soup.

I can do all that- *I* am the experimental, non-pre-mixed cook here- but I'm lazy.
I prefer lots of the same (neutral, dark) color clothes so I don't get dressed and have terri tell me "you can't wear those colors together in public!"
Not color blind, just fashion-indifferent.
and actually, if you don't mind buffing it clear, a swipe with a softener sheet keeps the static (and thus dust-attractant) down on monitors and tv's- and if you have static-y flyaway hair on a dry day, swipe, brush, and presto, problem solved too!

Not me I can iron the dishs and fry a bowl of soup.I just can't figure out why the dishs keep breaking when I put them in the washing machine,I always set it to the delicate cycle?
Posted 16 years ago # -
And, yes, I'm having fun shamelessly posting my own pictures for wallpapers.

Scuba......and what setting do you use when you put the dishes in the dryer....or do you hang them on the line so they get that fresh air smell?
Posted 16 years ago # -
Man, you guys are a funny lot! I'm semi-fortunate. My hubby cooks often but he doesn't clean up after himself very well. The counters, stove top are usually a mess and the sink fills up with dirty dishes, even with a dishwasher nearby. He will throw clothes into the washer but forget to put them in the dryer or to tell me that they are in the washer. Then I have to rewash them because they smell musty. He has "folded" laundry. It took me years to teach him how so that I didn't have to iron before wearing them. Occasionally, he will run the sweeper or make the bed. Compared to scubaguy, my hubby is a regular "Suzy Homemaker"!

Goody, are those crystals embedded into concrete? I'm still envious of your weather and flowers!

Good....well.....aren't you just the handy dandy little house-husband....hee hee hee. Anytime you wanna send a cooked meal our way by all means be my guest. I hate cooking almost as much as I hate mice. I'd rather wash dishes, scrub the floor, the toilet or, yes, even the windows than cook.
Posted 16 years ago # -
My MaMa didn't raise no fool,Pffft I spray them with fabric softner and put them in the furnace.Although I like that fresh air smell thing, will try hanging them out next time.

Maizey.....actually I do have to admit that Bob has been vacuuming regularly
....however....he got me one of those Roomba vacuums a couple years ago for Christmas so all you do is take the "clicker" (and we all know how much guys like those thngs) and push the button. You do have to clean out the dirt cup either before or after use and he's been doing that too. So, ok...... I'll give him a pat on the back for that.Posted 16 years ago # -
Buckleysmom - With a name like Bob he's got to be a great guy, Geee!! I bet you can't guess what my real name is? If you ever want him to think he's in trouble just call him Robert.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Scuba......been there.....done that. Really though, I seldom call him by his name, in fact I do it so seldom that it sounds downright wierd when I do. Even in public, without thinking I'll call "Hey Hon", and it's funny to see like a dozen guys turn around and look. What cracks me up is their wife (or whomever) will be right next to them but they still turn and look to see who's calling Hon. It's a hoot. and yeh I know, I gotta get a life. So you're another one, huh? <b>ROBERT</b>
-----edit-----
Why aren't my bold tags working??????-----edit again------
hows this?Robert-----edit#3------
Ok Maizey & Good, what am I doing wrong? Neither HTML or BB Codes are working.Posted 16 years ago # -
yes, the guy who built the shop was a cowboy out of montana, built up a huge rock collection, and embedded a bunch of nice specimens flanking the door- here's where he put a slab of rock crystal with his last name- rust- and the year- 1974 spelled out in garnets under it.
