Maizey and Fullbug......Mary's are definitely different, I love her use of color and some of her pictures are great but I don't think I'll use hers as wallpaper because they're so "flashy" it bothers my eyes. They do look great tho. I think I have enough new wallpapers just from all these posts to last all year. Of course now I have to take down the cute puppy I've had up since I took my Christmas one down.... oh woe is me.
BTW.....welcome Fullbug
thanks for the link.
:D

Sorry 'bout that
graylox, I like your botany & nature links. So pretty! Thank you.
Bobby, what a great list of wallpaper links! All but interfaceLIFT are new to me. Thanks. :)

If you can ignore the "less desirable" or "more desirable (for some)", there are many other "nice" wallpapers at Skeedz.
Thanx for the links Bobby....
You into scrapbooking? My wife is a scrapbook fanatic....
-perk- Scrapbook fanatic? A kindred spirit amidst a sea of wild-eyed gamers? wooohooo! Hi fullbug! What kind of scrapbooking does she do? Digital? 'Analog?'
Speaking of gamers, after teasing them, I reckon I'd better share a few links for wallpapers they will enjoy, along with the usual variety. Some of them will be 2D-3D environment simulation artists, but much of their work is suitable for the desktop (and scrapping, I might add).

Hey Bobby....
Bobby
"-perk- Scrapbook fanatic? A kindred spirit amidst a sea of wild-eyed gamers? wooohooo! Hi fullbug! What kind of scrapbooking does she do? Digital? 'Analog?'
I take it your into the online scrapbooking, she is into making real scrapbooks, paper, stickers, ect....
@fullbug .. actually, I'm making real scrapbooks, one in particular for my niece's summer wedding. More than a photo scrapbook, it will be a genealogical data collection, with some documents dating back to the 1700's. The digital end is usually for inspiration . . to see how particular techniques or designs might work. I may be a published poet but I am definitely _ not _ an artist, so the digital world helps with idea development. Working online has another bonus --internet scrappin' groups give me an opportunity for feedback. Now, if I could just o.r.g.a.n.i.z.e all the scrapbooking paraphernalia I've accumulated ...
Bobby, I have bunch of scrapping links. Most are for digital scrap booking but I don't know why you couldn't print out elements for real scrap books. And there are also some great ideas in these sites and forums. If you'd like me to post some just start a new thread with some of your links and I'll follow suite with mine. :-)
I just told my wife you guys might be posting scrapbook links, she is all excited now, lol....
"Now, if I could just o.r.g.a.n.i.z.e all the scrapbooking paraphernalia I've accumulated ..."
I had to laugh at that one, she has so much scrapbooking stuff I cant find places to put it all, mostly unorganized as well....
Maizey! Yesssss .. why not start a new thread .. if we get some interest going, perhaps Slava and the team will find scrapbooking or genealogy software for us to test drive!
(yep .. that was a shameless hint!)
Oh... the digital scrapbook goodies DO transfer well to 'analog' variety scrapbooks, particularly when I take them to Photo Impact 11 and add drop shadows or other enhancements. Printing several copies of the digital images and then layering them in a real scrapbook will give a nice effect, too.
fullbug, I guess we have no choice now, do we? We can't let your wife down. Maybe she can get on line and chat with us here too. That is if you'll let her on the PC long enough. LOL!
Bobby, it's going to take a bit of time for me to check my links to determine if they are all still good. So bear with me. If you want to start a thread in the meantime, please do!
The software ideas are good ones. Have you posted them in the Suggestions for Future Giveaways. thread yet?
Fullbug .. it's a conspiracy by scrapbook paraphernalia developers. They make inexpensive, delightful goodies that capture our imagination and offer them cheaply. We proceed to accumulate piles of those goodies. Only then do we realize we need to organize and store all of them. A quick search of suitable storage items results in elevated pulse, sweating brow and groans of dismay .. at least it did for me after seeing this:
Needless to say, I dug out my old footlocker and am currently eyeing some abandoned milk crates at the local market. <smile>
Maizey, I've been with Giveaway since its inception .. that was among the first of the links posted on software suggestions :) Wouldn't hurt to try again, though!
"Elevated pulse, sweating brow and groans of dismay"

Yo Bobby, maizeydaze, what happened to the scrapbook links? Get with the program!!! (lol)
Hi Wallpaper Fanatics:
I just found this SW: http://www.adolix.com/wallpaper-changer/
It's a Freeware by the same cie from today's GOTD offer => 2.4.08
Actually, this is what I was refering to in this post
Some kind of an alternative Manager or Helper thingy, to the one that comes w Windows - Something like I heard u talk about for Fonts.
Don't know if it's good or useful.
I don't suppose a Wallpaper Mngr needs to be very fancy either, this seemed interesting.
Does anybody know about this? Can anybody tell me if it's good?
Or if you know of better alternatives.
Peace, Manu

Hi Bobby
I've been unable to access this site u posted ~2 weeks ago.
Bobby S. @ Kitsune Noir
http://kitsunenoir.com/blog/2008/03/05/the-desktop-wallpaper-project/
Most likely a problem w the site, and not w ur link per se, bc I also tried to link through a GG search page, but couldn't either...
Do you know anything?
Merci, Manu
LeKanaw .. try Kitsune Noir which is the main site; you can scroll down to the latest entries in The Wallpaper Project, which will include links to older entries.
It seems the site migrated to a new server on 31 March 2008.
PS: hope you are feeling better by now!
