   Hi Jaddis
   Welcome to the hanger,glad to see your enjoying the game and was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a few minutes to answer a few questions?

   1.Are you on XP or Vista?
   2.Which version are you playing ver.1.0 or 1.2
   3.The (pizzadox's cheats ) you mention,is this the same as the (All Access Cheat File)and if not would you be so kind as to provide a link to the file you used.
   4.Did you unzip the cheat file into the main game file as were the original 6 files.

   As far as using the keyboard and mouse I would have probably given up if I couldn't use the J-stick.The J-stick just made the game enjoyable instead of frustrating.

   My j-stick is a usb version of the Thrustmaster Topgun.It has only four buttons on it.
   So any help in setting it up to be useful would greatly be appreciated. I think I am going to print out the pdf file that WhiteRabbit had the link to;so that I can have it handy for reference.So any advice or info would help.I am having more fun with the j-stick in use,but would also like to be able to play better.

   This is the J-Stick I have.Is this what yours looks like?If so you can use the same configuration I'm using, if not you can probably modify the configuration.

   If you Google the exact name of your J-stick and put a link to it in your post ,I can see what kind you have and button setup.
   Using the setup in the picture (the link)
   1.Slide switch (yellow and white dotted line at base) controls engine speed.

   On second thought I will wait for your reply to find out what type you have.

   I checked out the link that you gave.It is not the same J-Stick as mine.You must have a newer version than I do. Here is the link to mine:

   Any suggestions or any other help would be welcomed.Maybe I need to find a better J-Stick,but for now the one I have is better than nothing.

   Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am using XP and as far as I know I am using version 1.2. The cheat I mentioned is the All Access Cheat File on the download page. When you unzip the All Access Cheat File it contains a file called "p99.sav" move this to your Wings of War program folder in the Savegame folder. If you installed Wings of
   War to the default place it would be something like: C:\Program Files\Wings of War\Savegame .

   I agree with you that using a keyboard is rather frustrating. I do not have a J-Stick so I am stuck with the key board and I am really starting to get the hang of it.

   After seeing the type of J-stick you have I'm not sure I will be of much help,from what I can tell you have 4 controls,2 of them will probably default to,
   1.firing the gun.
   2.firing the rockets or bombs.
   For 3 & 4 you will have to see what the game options will allow you to set them for.
   I have found that after D/L the game to my Vista laptop it runs terribly,screen keeps blacking out,(graphics card issue),I think the buffer has to catch up.
   Also after hooking up J-stick the game options for control would dictate what I could set the switches for,which was very limited compared to the game installed on the XP system. Sorry I can't be more helpful,if you have any more questions let me know.

   Thanks for the offer.I will just have to try the best I can for now.It is more fun with the J-Stick than without it.Will just keep trying.You know what they say"practice makes perfect." I like the game enough that I will keep at it as time allows.
