   Many are coming "out of the woodwork," me too :-)

   Earlier in the week, Tuesday maybe, I downloaded and installed update .003 I think, and, I was pleased at first to see the pirate again in town near farm 4, but his comment was "come back in a few days," and that's the last I've seen of him or any NPC's.

   Anyone else? I'm stuck here. And yes I did install today's new update .. thanks Olaf.

   Suki: I used to be a beta tester on RA -- til they went to beta with RA Ver 2 only. Hate it and won't use it until I am forced to. (I have said that MANY times on the RA forum, but many others have too!) Much happier with Big Fish Games these days, specially since I am using the beta game manager. Of course, for the last week I have played NOTHING ELSE but MAGIC FARM! LOL!!!!

   Mamoo: Since you just registered here at the forum, I guess it must have been a Comments area where I saw your name and asked. Of course after the download there, few people go back and read further comments unless they have problems so you probably never saw it. BTW, I found GAOTD through the RA forum posts last year. :-)

   Version 1.006: I just applied to my desktop and getting ready to play it. But I did play on my laptop earlier tonight. So far, I still have not gotten the 20 sticks and at times they don't drop after the battle. Otherwise, mostly everything else seems ok.

   Hi haalam... just to meetcha. I've been at RA forEVER, and have posted on the comments page here as mamoo or just moo. I apologize I never saw your post... tend to post n' run, ya know... But yes, RA keeps a running thread of the games available here, and alert people who might be interested in a certain genre. And I used to beta test at RA also, until thier Version2 came along with it automatically. Rather not right now... sticking with V1.4 and happy. :)

   Hi all, this is my first post here but I've been addicted to this game since it was given away on GOTD. Ever since I've upgraded I've had a couple of issues I haven't seen anyone else mention so I'm hopeful I can find out what the deal is....

   Firstly, I m on Vista Home Premium (I know I know....) and running 1.006

   First issue. When the day ends, the darkness sets in, but there is no prompt like there used to be to end day. I can hit escape and it has the same as clicking END DAY used to have in the original version. Is this me or is the new version?

   Second issue (and MUCH larger) ... I can get NO coins. I sell and sell, but no coins ever show up in the pane on the left.

   ?

   GREAT game tho!!! Highly addicted but would love to make some coins so I could do stuff. :-)

   OLEG: It's the weekend I know, here we go again, lol!

   The snowman stick dilema, you have to have competed the first game, then go back in and continue, but start with the first town, when you get to town 4, try and click the sticks on the skinny bottom, this worked for me!
   Those who are still running V1.4, stick with that one for now!

   When I downloaded V1.5, town 4 had the original level up bug back!
   I then deleted it and downloaded V1.6, didn't help, still has the town 4 bug, can't level up! Have to use task manager to get out! I have now started a New game, will see how it plays, but I'm not counting my chickens!!!!

   Hey mamoo, thought it was you, lol, I too was just commenting on the games page until I ran into a problem with a game that wasn't working, so I joined the Forums to post the Topic!

   iluvchoc- i had a similar problem with the cursor. i opened the game in version 6, went to options and clicked to cancel full screen and the game cursor. when i did my cursor disappeared! i closed the game (i think with the windows key, but i might have ctrl-alt-delete) and when i opened it again i had my regular cursor. yeah!

   hope this helps, although you probably figured it out already-seeing how addictive this game is. ;D

   Ok just to let you all know on the sticks i restarted the game from the beginning and yes you can get past it with 20 sticks. When you first talk to the chief that wants the sticks he first say 30 then when you go to give them he states you have 20 which was good:) Also i made a boo boo i deleted all my black flowers trying to open up space for inventory darn it so need to redo that again. Oleg you are doing some great updates hope they continue to come:) TY TY TY!!!! I tried forever in a day to get the chief to take those darn sticks b4 creating a new name but to no avail you have to start a new game to get it to work, but it does work!!!!

    if this has been posted in a reply in this long topic, im sorry.
    i have found that if i run out of water, i can do all the other things, and leave my helper to water.
    he seems to be able to water the plants even if there is no water...
    which i think is a bug.

    Mornin everyone. LOL bluhoteyes & funkymom.....I am so glad to know I'm not the only one dreaming about this game. Talk about addiction! Thanks for the info about the sticks, blu. I figured that's what was needed. After sitting quite a while just growing flowers I finally thought, "Why am I growing all these flowers when there's nothing to do with them?" So I started a new game......just so I can gather those crazy sticks. I sooooo hope Oleg adds more levels to this game.

    sergio- the dragon does not use your water supply when he is helping, but i don't think you are gathering points that will increase your skills.

    does that make sense?

    well i finished this game and sad to see it end so soon :( sure hope Oleg is reading this and puts another level in there for us that are totally addicted :) It was nice to get my dragon back and in good health now how about having the go on to their parents wedding anniversary and collecting the most beautiful flower arrangements:) lol Or lets see have her do a quest on saving polly the parrot from that pirate and then they get married and she does boquets of flowers for her own wedding? lol anything you can even put that ones guys suggestion on having strawberry ice cream as their dessert:) Lol Please Oleg give us more:)

    I too have now completed the game (on one computer anyway). I am SO SAD it is OVER! There is no one left to "talk to"! We definitely need more levels, Oleg!

    I found the best way to get the sticks is do it while Robin is in captivity... he has a tendency to hog the battles and gets to the snowmen and other creeps way too soon and the sticks (and the weights) are off screen or behind the well or don't fall off because Robin did the battle, not me.

    Someone questioned how to get back to the first two farms -- I believe you must buy the boat to get back. I had no problems going to all the towns after that.

    I also found Robin hogged the ghosts and left me with weights out of sight.
    I'm addicted to this game and spent all day playing, until I had to go for dinner and TV.
    I started the game over again from the start, once I downloaded Version 1.006, (so glad I did) it didn't take long to get back to the same place.
    I've collected the weights and now collecting 35,000 coins to buy the boat, I shall open game and start it again as a new day has arrived.
    Until later like-minded folk @ addicted to this game.

    I think I'm going through withdrawal.

    By now the parents must have gotten older and need a nice comfy home to retire to on a nice island paradise. The loving daughter (by the way, she really needs a name) could earn money to buy them a retirement home, and thay would need a pet for company and once she's married she would need to take the grandkids to go visit and.......

    Oleg......Oh OLEG.......please, please can we have more!!!!

    If you are told by a character to wait after you pay them just go back to the farm and have more fun. After number of days you will be taken back to town to talk to the character again.
    All those getting "stuck" after paying the Pirate: Do not wait for the boat you will not see it or the pirate. Assume that you have it. With it you can now go back to the former towns/farms. Just click on the Global Map and click on any twinkling place. You will find extra quests :-) (In fact at this point I am not sure there is an ending)
    Make sure you find the Magic Farm folder in your drive directory and move it to the Recycle Bin (DO NOT USE AN UNISTALLER OR YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR REGISTRATION) before you download the new versions.

    Sukibabe: is this problem new with 1.006? Did you try to start over with a new user name? You may have to do that to correct the lockup. (sorry!)

    Dobromilka: I never deleted the folder at all. I just reinstalled the newer versions (3, 5 & 6) right over the old and have had no problems.

    But i read on the forum this:

    To add to the above about Oleg's post at Robins Games, Oleg also is adding:
    3. Quest with sick dragon. Only 1 black rose needed
    4. Not removed 3000 money in quest with Librarian
    5. Need add string about lost money on island
    6. Not disappearing man on first farm after gives Robin

    Is thise on the last update ???
    I only have the to do the sticks nothing more.
    And wen i gave the sticks to the canibal, SHE whas telling me that i get in reward 20.000 coins, so not the canibal give me a reward but the girl???

    And please give us more to do in thise game, i DONT want to end this game, i love it to much.

    haalam: The bug was in version 1.3 also.
    Then V1.4 came out and seemed to run fine.

    Wanting to see the latest, downloaded V1.5, bug was back.
    Then downloaded V1.6, same bug, same place.
    Yes, I have started a new game to see, but haven't got that far yet.

    At first I just went right over the game, after that I just deleted the shortcut and downloaded the new .exe file.

    I had other Beta testing to get done, so I had to put the game on hold.

    Anita: Those were things Oleg fixed with version 1.006. (Post #330 on Robin Games comments. Post #343 is his version 1.006 link.) My post above your here lists what Oleg says in his post #376 at Robin Games site, which was his last, as of right now. He will probably be uploading version 1.007 pretty soon now, as I think it is 10:30am where he is (as I write this).

    Sukibabe: you know deleting a shortcut does nothing, right? Not unless you installed it to a different directory (folder) or drive, then and only then would it make a difference. If you installed the new exe file to the same folder, it went over the old which has worked for me. In fact, the magicfarm.exe file has not changed all that much. I think it has been other files it calls up that Oleg has made changes to.

    I do miss game beta testing. I do Oberon's, but it is so sporadic -- and short lived! Got the email one day and the next night I did the testing and when I went to the site to do the survey, it said it was closed -- with the next day's date! LOL!

    The ONLY good thing about RA's, is they are consistent!

    Oberon does have a short, short time frame.

    I am now getting approached by more and more game companies, wonder if they sell their lists?

    Yes, I quess I am going over the file, I just felt deleteing the shortcut would add some Voodoo Magic!!!!!
