I've lost track of two games that I remember enjoying playing a couple of years ago, but I can't remember what they were called. They were both Adventure/HOG types.
The first was rather like the Mortimer Beckett series, but it isn't any of the Mortimer ones that I've got. The main thing that I remember about it is that at one stage, the main character came across a large wounded bird in (I think) a wood near a beach and had to find things in order to heal the bird which then helped the character in some way.
The second was the same type of game, but I remember that it included at one stage coming across an ancient Chinese sage, collecting items for a tea ceremony and then having the tea ceremony with him.
I've tried Googling various things in order to find what these were but without success and it then occurred to me that these clues might ring bells with someone on here. It's a bit trivial, but it's the sort of thing that lingers at the back of the mind annoyingly! I'd still have them, but had a major computer crash some while ago and had to build a new system and recover a load of things, and I've lost a number of games that I had.
