Sorry for the confusion. I keep forgetting the English haven't colonized the entire globe. I see Bubby's already (correctly) translated my acronyms. I may be pretty good at #6, but I never thought it had that acronym! :-)
As for the poor seahorse, well, you have to see it to believe it. I suspect every woman has wished this on her husband at least once, probably in the moments leading up to the midwife yelling, "It's a boy!" (or girl)

You are exactly right in regards to that learning curve,explain it to
me,demonstrate it for me,then let me try it,and I'm off and running.
We use this same teaching method in our diving classes with the students,they
are given a manual to read about it,a video to see it in actual use and given
the opportunity to try it themselves,works every time!In all fairness it has
been my experience that the females in the class do seem to catch on slightly
quicker then the men, having only read the manual, The guy's generally want just
get right into the let's do it part of diving.
However I still refuse to pull over and ask for directions when driving.What
women have to understand is that us guys are never lost,we are
only exploring are options.
BuBBy your cake analogy was correct and the link above makes more sense now.
As someone said earlier having a small cheat sheet with code on my desktop
would help.

Just testing codes
That was a fun thread and it has lots of info between all the other stuff. Good of you, BK, to bring it to the front again as we have lots of newbies that may find the info useful. I had forgotten all about it.
I have used that reference guide Goody posted a few times.
I am getting one of my migraines so I am going to bed..but I have found some games I will be posting later. Manynameslox could be involved..."in a cool, free virtual world for kids"... The woman is so talented and BOLD.

But it is handy for users who not only haven't mastered posting a link, but also haven't discovered the list of other forum sections at the bottom of the main forum page (which is useful for viewing all posts related only to one category type - like games for example).

Oh, nevermind.....I see that blockquote kind of "separates" it. I never tried using that in a forum before.

also em (for emphasis) makes text italics - and you can use em midway through a sentence which is something you cannot do with blockquote - which is for quoting other users. It is possible to make blockquote appear different (say without italics, and in a different font) by changing the style sheets (using CSS) but this is getting beyond what anyone here really cares about.
But if you are keen - check out http://userstyles.org/ to find out about 'user styles' and a great little firefox addon called 'stylish'.... but... hmm no I didn't think you'd be that keen.

BuBBy....thou doest underestimate me.....I am "that keen" as you put it....and will be checking out the link/info. Actually I had been wondering if you could change fonts....but is it only in a blockquote or can you change the rest as well....in other words can I change the font in my post even though I don't use blockquote?

BuBBy....I did check out userstyles.org....thanks for the link and info. But now I have another question (Oh I bet you're just thrilled to death about that....) Anywho....why are there so few allowed markups here in this forum? I mean, did someone decide what to allow, or is it some sort of program limit or what???? There are lots of tags out there, why can't we use more?
