Introduction & Game info:
The game supports multiple player profiles, and when exiting the game your progress is saved exactly as you left it, even if you were in the middle of a stage. The help menu is an animated sequence, showing the moves you make to complete a level. This also shown at the beginning of a new game, though it can be turned off b checking the box in the bottom left of the screen. There is also in game hints that will be shown whenever something new crops up; however this only happens in the first level. This also can be turned off via the options menu. There’s a custom cursor and a windowed toggle available also.
Once a level has been completed a window pops up showing you your status in the civilization; which at the very start is an outcast, but you will soon, after a few stages in the first level, of which there are ten progress to Slave, then as you change over to a new level, you will be further promoted to Farmer; until, at the end of the game you should become the Pharaoh. Also shown in the information panel is your best combination shot as well as the time it took to complete a level and your cumulative score. Following this you are taken to the levels map, which shows you the stage you are presently at. Unfortunately you are not able to replay previous levels, but instead forced to progress in a linear way to the final level stage, of which there are 50 in total, 5 levels with ten stages each. The level map also shows you the stage your pyramid or sphinx is at with respect to its completion, he level and stage number and your rank. Each level has a name as opposed to a number, i.e. Kufu, Djozer, Sneferu, Senusiet, Niuserre and finally onto the Sphinx, all of which apart from the sphinx were names of Pharaohs who had pyramids build and named after them. At the bottom of the map are two buttons one that takes you to the next level and the other to the main menu.
You can continue your game wherever you left off if you decide you’ve had enough for the day without having to physically save the game. Also whenever you leave the game, your score is automatically posted onto the high score. This is amended whenever you return and finish again.
Other features:
• New colors introduced to the bricks as you progress from one level to the next
• There’s an undo button that has no cost except for an increase in the time posted on the end of stage info’ panel.
• Menu button (found above the playing area.

Conclusion:
As with Treasures of Montezuma and both the Atlantis games, this match three puzzler, brings yet another slant on ways of combining three or more colored tiles. The game was made when Egypt was very popular as there seemed to be a plethora of titles released over the same period of time that covered this theme. (Egyptoid, Bricks of Egypt and Bricks of egypt 2, Luxor and Amun Rising to name a few) The graphics are solid, and the game play is excellent. As you progress, (as expected) the game play becomes a lot more challenging as more colored blocks are introduced.
Overall I give this game 7 out of 10 for excellent game play . It’s not really in the same class as Treasures of Montezuma, but definitely ‘nearly as good’ as Atlantis Quest or The Rise of Atlantis (IMO) both of which have been given away previously.
Suggestions to the Developer:
• Enable the ability to replay previously played stages, with a randomly generated pattern of bricks so that the puzzles are ever changing
• Add a ‘proper’ story line.
• Add some bonus items to help remove blocks, for example a bomb or a color changer
• Add bonus levels that have a different style of game play that could either be earned or played in between the different pyramid levels.
• Add an awards scheme that gives awards; for example, for completing a level in a specific time or completing ‘x’ number of levels without using any bonus’s (assuming there were any bonus items)
