I don't mind win 8.1 as I can still get to my desktop. But I didn't like the initial interface. I suppose that's partly because I'm still not into the latest mobile phones with their touch screens, and prefering to use a traditional camera for my photos rather than the mobile phone cameras. I really have no need of a mobile phone simply because I'm at home virtually 24/7.
We do have a blackberry, which I bought my daughter for Xmas in 2012 but she only used it the first few days, sending texts to her best friend, who had also got a new Blackberry. Between them they used up their free allocations and used up most of the first months payment as well. since then it's been gathering dust in one of the sideboard drawers. I did buy her the iPad air last Christmas, which she does use, but I also build a computer for each of them, and she prefers the PC to the iPad. My son has a ipod, but rarely uses it.
The only time I ever had a mobile phone of my own was when i worked as a motorcycle courier in the mid to late 90's, a job I took in between teaching jobs following a serious motorcycle accident on the motorway.
