Beautiful! Another Ashampoo product for my toolbox. Easy installation, easy to get the Reg Code, and looks like a very good program.
Nice one, and many thanks for sharing, bowlby4!!
Major RIPPPPP-Off
You do not get anything close to a free program. You double register through email ("to keep someone from stealing your email address - do you think I could make that up?). 30 to 35 minutes later (after updating your profile - you are automatically signed up for spam email - TWO "news letters" you must receive to get your unlocking code.
The end result: they send you a unlocking code that gives you a 30-day TRIAL. This is beyond deceptive. After 30-days you have to buy Photo Commander 4. Super bad deal because they advertise Photo Commander 6 on their website. GOTD please take note. This may be the biggest rip-off that I have seen in 10 to 15 years.
I need to add this:
All along the way your are told things you must do to get the "Full Commercial Program". GOTD, please check the above out before you offer any more Ashampoo products on your website.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I had 4-spam emails in my "In Box" waiting for me to open my email client. About 2-dozen ads in each. That is in the first minute.
Bigun, quite simply, you are mistaken in all you say.
This makes the 6th Ashampoo product I have gotten free, most of them thru Computeractive, but still, all Ashampoo products. They are ALL full versions, and do NOT expire. Yes, they are ALL versions that are one or two previous to their current versions, but they work just fine.
I got my reg codes right away, without any spam. Yes, I do get emails once or twice a MONTH suggesting that I upgrade to the newest version. It is a simple thing to click the delete button. I do not feel compelled to read them.
My reputation on this forum will bear out that what I say is true. I'm not sure of your motives for your comments, but I will say again, "You are very mistaken!"
FWF is correct. What Ashampoo does..... is offer their Older versions as Free full versions and they really are.
I think there is a place in your profile to opt out on the emails if you consider them spam. I don't; as they do, from time to time, offer a multitute of free OLDER full version programs for Xmas, your birthday etc. And I know how to click on the delete button if need be. :)
If you are worried about spam emails, you could always use a disposable e-mail address from 10 Minute Mail or another similar service:
I use an separate e-mail address for Ashampoo and many years I NEVER got spam on that account. They only send those offers I registered for.
And, yes I like their progs.
Well this is the first time I've ventured away from the 'Software' forum, why? I'm a bit of a 'home girl', I don't venture far. lol But it was well worth the trip, thanks for the information bowlby4
