    found that site "Sound of America" yesterday between my unsorted bookmarks, tried it and everything was o.k., they have a great library of sound clips. I read, that they will go together with another site, but I did not realize, that they do it just now. Have quite a lot of funny links collected - all for the birds...

    bizarre and hilarious!

    brought back memories for me. for many years i worked in a restaurant owned and run by a german family. the chef/owner was bavarian. we (my ex and myself, who both worked there) became very close with the whole family. although they weren't anything like this sketch, they would have gotten a huge kick out of it, especially bruno (the bavarian), may he rest in peace.

    thank you for the funny sketch and the wonderful memories.

    Thanks Maizeydaze. I love Monty Python. I just recorede The Life of Brian the other week and have still to watch it. Though I preferred Jabowokky. Most of the old team still pop up from time to time here on British TV. The only one i see regulariyl though is Michael Palin with his fantastic travel series.

    Whiterabbit, you are welcome. I liked Jabberwokky also. Every once in a while a Python movie is aired on PBS although my brother has a complete collection that I can watch at anytime. Here in the US I see more of John Cleese than any of the others.

    Graylox, I long for summer too. A color other than white would be welcome. The area of Pennsylvania where I live was founded by Bavarians in 1842. It reminded them of the motherland, with all the hemlock and hardwood trees...and the winters. Almost all of my ancestors surnames and my current surname start with "Sch". The old folk would still speak in a variation Pennsylvania-Dutch when I was a child. I only understood the cursing!

    maizey, add my kudos for a very funny addition to my treasure chest of games. I was a lot better at this catapult game than I was shooting arrows the other day! Sadly, despite my skill with the bouncing bovines and fowl, the bloody french managed to cross the rope bridge and do terrible things to my mother's pet goldfish.
