Seriously, the main reason for the group is to gather together like minded friends. Most of us have problems playing online. It took me years to go back to playing online, simply because when I joined main stream games I’d be killed 20 or so times and still couldn't get a kill myself. Basically we are all noobs that have avoided online gaming for years. I'm trying to create a friendly group where individuals don’t have to worry about being really bad. As time progresses, if you play, you will improve. We play not to compete against each other but to enjoy playing in a friendly environment, where there’s no remarks if you die constantly, or don’t get any hits in. . If someone plays really badly, so what; for us it’s not about playing well, it's about interacting on team speak and having a good laugh playing some enjoyable games that were designed to be played with friends instead of solo. We also support our friends; so, if you’re not familiar with a particular game, there’s loads of help from those who have played the game a lot.
I’m planning to introduce a wide range of coop games to the group over the coming months. For example I have purchased two Bundle Stars packs (the titanium bundle) that has two coop games that give you four copies of Murder Miners and two copies of another coop game called space Farmers. The packs are so cheap, I’m planning to get another bundle so will have several copies of Murder Miners to give to my friends (the game costs £3.99 via Steam, yet you can get four copies for less than the price of one copy via Bundle stars). It’s an ace of Spades like game, but has coop instead of just multiplayer deathmatch, so friends can play against bots. It’s amine craft like game. I’ve already purchased other coop games to give to friends who play regularly so that we can, as a group experience a lot of variety.
I’m hoping to use this as a platform for me to eventually pluck up courage to join in some of the many free to play games, some of which I really want to play, but don’t due to me thinking I’m rubbish at playing most games; (which I am). I find it hard to remember key bindings, and have slow reactions, so end up getting pwned quickly often. That said, I am slowly improving :).
I do hope you reconsider. We will be playing a wide range of games, most of which will be coop games, so we play against bots as opposed to humans. There's no 'you have to play' - just turn up. If the game we decide to play isn't appealing, or you don't have it, just chat via Team speak for as long or as little as you wish. :)
