I did download the game and it has been ok so far but has anyone had problems with SecuROM?

Memberp.s. when i said that the game had been ok so far what I actually meant was that a run of the CCleaner registry cleaner causes several file path entries to be deleted from the registry, which results in Sims2 reporting that it "is not installed on this system, or some required files have been deleted." Using the repair option from Origin fixes this problem.

You don't need to install the game right away. So long as you register it before the deal ends, you can then install it anytime you wish. If you have a problem with it due to file cleaners deleting files, you can just delete the game and reinstall.
Like Steam, once registered you can install the game anywhere anytime, so long as you are signed into your Origin account. :)
