Fully exiting the program (make sure it's not running in the system tray) and restarting as admin solved the problem over here. :)

I followed the directions and it installed correctly and it works in my Windows 8 desktop. However, I tried to intall it in my laptop that runs Windows 7 and installed, but when you try to star the program clicking the shortcut or directly the exe file, it does NOTHING! The program does not start at all! What do I need to do?

This one has a more complicated install because it adds a audio driver. You can check if everything installed OK in the logs in the log folder inside the program's folder. You can also try a re-start, and see if the new driver shows up in the Recording devices window. There's also an EzDriverInstaller.exe in the program's folder that might help if the driver didn't get installed.
Maybe [hopefully] some of that might help. In case of problems remember you can always select use last known good when your laptop's starting up to revert to the old driver setup. There is a chance your laptop & the new driver are incompatible.
