Build a Greenlight bundle:
The latest Build a Bundle from Groupee's is Build a Greenlight Bundle. The following nine games are included in the deal. The more games you add to the bundle the more you pay up to a minimum of $5.74 if you want all nine games.
Beware Planet Earth
Millennium: A New hope
Recruits
Private Infiltrator
Wooden Sen'Sey
Eryi's Action
Salvation Prophecy
I Shall Remain
Oozi: Earth Adventure
You'll find the deal HERE
All of the Greenlight games have the potential to become Steam games if enough Steam users vote for them. I presume we will get Steam keys if this happens? As it is, all of the games are at the moment DRM free with at least two games promising a Desura key sometime soon, (Millennium: A New Hope & Private Infiltrator). all the other games have codes associated with them, which I think are Desura keys.
This Greenlight bundle is a fantastic deal; basically you're paying less than the going rate for just one of these games so you're effectively getting most of them for free. At the very least, if you pay the minimum, you're getting quality games for less than a dollar each. You can't go wrong with this bundle. If you've already got one or more of the games (I certainly recognize at least two of them from previous bundles) you can pay even less as you can add from 2 to 9 games, with bonuses to be unlocked the more bundles are sold.
Here's a brief description of each game in the bundle, with images and video. I've not referenced the various pieces of information.

Salvation Prophecy:
This game was essentially made by one person with some from artists and other contacts, and it does look good on its own. Sci-fi games are already hard enough to develop, but Salvation Prophecy being a one man job is pretty cool on its own. His goal was to create a sci-fi game that combined everything from terrestrial combat to space combat, melding both action and role-playing aspects together. You get to improve both your character and your ship during the course of the game, purchasing weapons and upgrades to better combat your adversaries across planets. As a third-person shooter, it’s fairly adequate, but not that mind-blowing at all. As a space combat simulator, it does better since it does hit the right buttons.
But for all its good qualities, it still does look like a one-man job, even with help involved during development. The graphics look very much outdated and animations are not very smooth. The combat system is simplistic to the point of repetitiveness, especially since space combat has proven to get boring quite quickly. There is not much of a story, there are no main characters, and no voice acting. In something that alludes to role-playing elements, that’s actually quite important.
This one-man development job draws comparisons to Battlecruiser 3000AD, which is somewhat an urban legend in gaming. Derek Smart, its creator, produced a lot of hype for the then work-in-progress, stating on how it will change the face of strategy gaming forever. This was back in the mid-to-late 90′s, when StarCraft and Command & Conquer had just to become what they are now known for. He would spark off some of the biggest flame wars in history to defend himself from critics. While Battlecruiser had garnered some positive reviews, its failure to deliver as the hype had promised meant that it’s known for less with game play and more with its developer’s ego.
It’s not that bad Salvation Prophecy though. Most can still see the amount of dedication that gave life to this product. This is an example of independent game development as for only the most talented and strong-willed of developers can turn a side project into something substantial. However, quality is still the name of the game, and this doesn’t have a lot of it. Indie games of high caliber are no longer rare, thanks to dedicated developers and the growing diversity and user-friendliness in platforms.
But it still takes a team of dedicated developers to make a really good game, especially with the high standards in both aesthetics and substance that gamers have nowadays. It has to go through the rigor of different people with different opinions on what makes a good game, and that’s what will actually constitute to one of their own. Nonetheless, the developer’s ambitions are still commendable and this is still a great way to start his own game development studio.

I Shall Remain:
I Shall Remain is one of many Horror Survival games following the Zombie Apocalypse genre. It's not groundbreaking; you honestly have to go outside the box to make a decision. so ..... what sets it apart? Basically production is being spearheaded by an Active Duty United States Marine. Now there is something new…
Meet Sgt. Jacob Way, who according to a recent Marine Corps Times article, is a 22-year old linguist stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay where he specializes in Tagalog. Tagalog, if you are unfamiliar with the language is one of the primary dialects spoken in the Philippines, which, given current events and security concerns in the area, make it a highly sought after asset for our forces operating in the area. Sgt. Way has spent a large part of his personal time and savings in getting this project off the ground. He hopes to bring something a little different to the table with his first release.
Overall the feedback on the game is generally good, with an average score of 8.6 on Desura, so they must be doing something right. Doing a little more digging, I’ve come up with a projected price (under 10 USD according to the Marine Corps Times article) and a promise to a prospective customer by Sgt. Way to refund the money if the customer was not satisfied with the amount of game play. Upcoming tweaks include the fully fleshed out RPG system and improved graphics; so what you see now in the prologue is not necessarily what you get when you purchase the game.
When it’s all said and done, I Shall Remain sets itself apart by being the first title in recent memory I can think of, that is the project of an Active Duty Servicemember. At an estimated price of 10 dollars, you can hardly complain that you are not going to be getting your money’s worth. In order for Sgt. Way to break even, he would need to sell about 5000 copies after release. While I would like to see him nest that away for future use, I’m fairly confident that any profits would be reinvested back into the game, and into other future projects down the road.
Since the Prologue, which could really be viewed as more of a beta release, is available now for free, I’d encourage anyone to download it and take a look. I’ll be keeping this one on my radar, and once the next installment hits, take a more in depth look.
