Several years ago (5, 6?), GotD offered a program that you could add animated effects to images, like moving clouds, snow, rain etc and would save the file as a SWF. Does anyone remember the program name?
Thanks!

What comes to mind is http://www.desktoppaints.com
Their DP Animation Maker creates video files or animated GIFs however, & while you could use any one of several apps to convert those to SWF, it would be as Flash video rather than Flash animation, where you would have individual objects or sprites that can be animated -- for that sort of think might check out sothink.com, which develops several Flash app & has been on GOTD more than a couple of times.
Thank you mikiem2, but neither of those were what I am looking for. I remember that it was featured at least twice here while I was more active at GotD. The program let the user export to swf. I used it to 'enhance' my flash banners.
Thanks again!

Hi Beggersrun,
You can see every giveaway ever given away by clicking on the previous posts button (looks like a hyperlink) at the bottom left of the front (home) page. It will mean a lot of mouse button clicks to get back 6 years as we've had well over 2000 giveaways (not counting games) since the giveawayoftheday project started back in Oct 2006. Apart from the first page where you'll only see the last two giveaways at the bottom of the page, each preceding page will have ten previous giveaways. That works out at over 200 pages to scroll through. I don't think there's any fast way of getting back to an earlier time unless to can remember another giveaway from those early years. We were given Zoner Photo Studio v9 around the spring of 2007. You could try searching for that first and see if you can see previous giveaways; otherwise you'll have to do it the long way. hopefully when you see the programs name it will fire off a several million neurones in your brain via a flicker of recognition.... ;)
Good luck.
Edit:
Tried to search for giveaways I remember from the first several months such as Evernote, Zoner and Robotask but it shows you the program page not the home page, so you will have to scroll through manually. :(
p.s. while searching for Zoner Photostudio I did see a related animation software called Zoner Gif Animator 5 which you can see HERE, given away July 20th 2007.
If you use the search funcion using key words such as animation/animator etc it will list all programs with that word or similar in the title.
for example:
Animated Screensaver Maker:

Animated Wallpaper Maker:

Vidmorph:

SWF Maestro SCR:

I got all of the above by using one keyword - Animation
p.p.s. after re reading your post I think it may be the animated wallpaper or animated screensaver program listed above. I remember getting it as well.
Nature Illusion Studio adds realistic water, snow & rain effects to photos.

AFAIK, Nature Illusion Studio saves to AVI (not SWF). It was a giveaway on 6, Aug. 2010.

It was also on Bitsdujour earlier in 2012:
A Bing search consisting of "gif swf animate rain cloud site:giveawayoftheday.com" says ArtStudio is the program you're looking for.
ArtStudio 1.2.1 May 20, 2009
ArtStudio 1.3.2 December 1, 2009
ArtStudio 1.3.3 January 16, 2010
Thank you, ChrisS! That was it ... ArtStudio.
Thanks to all the others who responded as well!
Cheers!
