   At some point or another, most of us will want to know something about what our system is up to. Find below a list of useful system information and monitoring programs that will offer something for everyone.

   One program I find interesting is UDPixel, a program that according to it's author "This program helps to locate and fix LCD screens dead pixels."

   WOW, this is one awesome list!! Indeed :-)
   And my Bookmarks freeware folder was already bursting at the seams!!
   It has grown exponentially since I started coming to GAotD ~3 months ago.
   But your lists are positively... big! :0

   You seem to be quite knowledgeable on Freeware. Have you considered teaming up w Gizmo?
   He wanted to start a little project to add to his list, was asking for a bit of help, someone to be an editor I think, a couple of hours a month.
   When I want to know about s/w, I usually go there first.

   I should have included the address, I'm new at this...

   He is famous for his initial 46 best free utilities.
   He has since haded to it 47 to 103 latest addition.
   Many people write in w suggestions, he evaluates it, than recommends or not.
   I trust him, bc he doesn't seem to push stuff on you. If he thinks something is not good (s/w, service, performance), he says so, be it a big or small company.
   On the November newsletter #151, he talked about this new project.

   I would like to contribute, since his newsletter has helped me out in numerous occasions, but I'm not knowledgeable enough, in fact I'm a newbie :-( even though I'm old.
   I'm of the opinion that we all should contribute and help out, not just take-take-take.

    Yes - starting a new thread for a new topic is the way to go. :)

    Hijacking a thread to discuss something different is a good way to be ignored. (eg. This thread is discussing "Free System Information Programs" not programming languages - so people who might know the answer to your question, might never see it - or if they do, they might never find it again).
