I waited until just before I shutdown to run through my normal monitoring install etc. in my XP Mode VM -- I don't know what caused Wednesday's activation failures, but on the very slight chance it was a problem with requested activations exceeding the number allowed, I didn't want to deprive someone of a copy since as I noted earlier, I already have this version installed from an offer elsewhere.
The reason I'm posting is to provide details on how to back up this copy in case anyone's nervous about installing the next version on GOTD. Just before you run the new setup file, make a copy of the EaseUS Partition Master 10.0 folder, & copy these files -- C:\WINDOWS\system32\epmntdrv.sys, C:\WINDOWS\system32\EuEpmGdi.dll, C:\WINDOWS\system32\EuGdiDrv.sys, C:\WINDOWS\system32\setupempdrv03.exe OR setupempdrvx64.exe. Now backup the registry -- I suggest ERUNT.
In win7/8/8.1 you can also set a restore point if you wish, & that *probably* will work, but this *will* put things back just the way they were.
