I can't open neither of the download webpages for today's file "DefenseWall HIPS".
They say it's forbidden or that I'm unauthorized to see it.

I was wondering who stole my time machine...
You should ask somebody what the date and year is, where you are now?
When you return to "today" - visit http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/
Todays giveaway is "Agogo DVD Ripper"
(Then again maybe I am the one who has travelled to a different time and date to everyone else. In which case... Today's Game giveaway looks fantastic - I'd tell you what it is, but I saw a movie once that said I shouldn't do anything that might alter history. You will just have to keep coming back and check).

I've never had difficulties with past downloads, so I've never posted a comment on the particular download of the day forum or to this general forum. I tried to post this to the DefenseWall feedback page, but as it is now a new day, apparently only the first 3 messages would display, so I don't know if mine shows up at the bottom or not to be read by management. I only got a chance to read the first 50 or so feedback messages yesterday and I see there were over 100 by day's end. Wonder if anyone else mentioned the following problem? FWIW, I DO know which day it is, so consider my feedback to be in the past tense to indicate that my experiences took place while DefenseWall WAS still the download of the day...
This was the first time I had a problem with a GAOTD install. My uneducated guess is that it had to do with the deviation from the normal registration procedure. After the system shut down, a "corrupted file" message appeared briefly during rebooting, and there was NO .dwu(?) file to be found- not in the unzipped folder nor the installed folder nor anywhere on my hard drive. I noticed the "untrusted" tag appending to the top bar of every browswer window I opened (and agree with whomever said this often falls off the right edge of the page!) With some people reporting that the uninstaller destroyed unrelated files on their systems, I was glad I'd created a Restore point! Tried downloading the software and reinstalling again, got the same "corrupted file" warning again, and still no registration code file. What bothered me was that this program didn't come with an obvious ON/OFF switch. Yesterday was just too hectic to devote the time to installing an all-intrusive program that was armed and ON from reboot yet wouldn't register. Didn't have time to spare to learn how to use it before the 24-hour registration clock expired. Too bad, because I really would have liked to delve deeper into it, as I tried Sandboxie last year and suffered problems similar to those reported by others on Sandboxie-related forums. Defensewall sounded like a reasonable (more user-friendly) alternative. Ah well, maybe next time. Many thanks to GAOTD for the daily opportunities to try different applications, but sometimes there just ain't enough time in a 24-hour day.
