   I found that offer on the http://www.dealspl.us site, I just look over it quite a lot. I find a lot of stuff on there.

   I was quite tired when I posted that, but I wanted to make sure that people saw it before the time ran out to get it for free.

   I was thinking the same thing you were thinking Lee, I don't think it has a custom install either, but I uninstalled the Mcafee firewall and then I thought I always did want to get zonealarm pro (I just never had the money) so it kind of works out. It's beem said that zone alam pro and the comodo firewall are the best firewalls on the market. Comodo is free, but I like zone alarm pro better.

   I uninstalled the Mcafee firewall and installed Zone Alarm, but not before I installed Zone Alarm and I had some problems with the desktop not loading, so I had to uninstall the Mcafee firewall in safe mode.. The Mcafee Virusscan program detects the Zone Alarm Pro firewall as being installed in the Mcafee securitycenter. It detects Zone Labs ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0

   I'm just glad to get it and hopefully everyone that wanted it can get it. If you didn't get it yet you may still have a little time to get it.

   I did get it, then after installation and registration realised it was also a firewall and anti-spyware.

   Zone alarm I think is the most popular freeware firewall around.

   I would say to stick with zone alarm pro and anti-spyware, if you do wish to totally remove zone alarm the easiest and safest way is printed below.

   Click on Start -> Programs -> Zone Labs - RIGHT-click on Uninstall ZoneAlarm, then select Properties - Under Target you will see the following line (the actual drive may be different on your system): "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe"Change it to: "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" /clean /rmlicense (add a space and then the /clean /rmlicense -then disable the ZA to start with Windows and reboot,once rebooted reinstall the latest version and re-enter your new license and all should be o.k.

   It's working fine and I am having no problems with it and I am probably going to keep it all installed. So did you uninstall the whole program or did it allow you to remove the firewall and only keep the antispyware? I hope it allowed you to keep only the antispyware if that is all you wanted, thank you.

   I just restored a previous image of my system before installing it, so didn't really uninstall it.

   That I gave was an example of how to completely remove it from ones system.

   I saw this thread too late for the ZoneAlarm deal (I'm real happy with the free version, though). But I want to thank Michelle for the tip on that DealsPlus website. Killer site! Went straight to my favorites folder.
