   Just tried to open the program and got a popup saying I had the evaluation version and need to pay to continue to use. I thought these programs were fully registered versions. Is there somewhere I can get a registration code?

   You have to run the activate.exe program (or whatever method is mentioned in the instructions each day). This can only be done while the giveaway is still running.

   If you don't activate and install the program while the giveaway is still running, you miss out.

   "Program has detected that registration key you are using is not longer valid. Please contact support."

   My copy was properly registered and seems that again we have a case of a bad key provided by software company.

   I tried mine and got the same message. The first thing I do after a download from GOTD is check to make sure it's registered. It definitely was. To add insult to injury, I had to re-boot to get rid of the message box. This is why I'm a firm believer in buying any giveaways that are worth the price and are something I need or want, rather than counting on the no upgrade/no tech support version to last forever. Tough to gripe about something free as long as it doesn't harm my computer or anything on it. Although it sucks when you're told you're getting the full registered version and it turns out you're not.
   That said, I wouldn't pay $17 to register what was basically a toy in the first place. And it destroys any faith I had in Elprime.

   I checked and am getting the same thing. I contacted Elprime and was told this was only an evaluation copy and that at no time did they intend to give their program away for free to users here. They offered me a $5 discount off the normal $17 registration fee. hahaha. No thanks.

   I am also curious when something like this happens, does GAOTD contact the program vendor to see why the program no longer works and do they try to arrange another free version? What steps does GAOTD take, if any, when this happens (it seems to happen often).

   Has anyone kept the key that came with it at that time... Seems like it will accept that same key that came with the GAOTD again :)

   I just found out that after closing and reopening it, it asks for the key again :(

   Thats really unfair for some people even if I think Biohrythms is nonsense

   What ticks me off is they should have mentioned the limit

   Maybe if enough people contact Elprime about this they will offer this again. However, it appears Elprime didn't realize this was "free forever" when they offered it.

   Does GAOTD explain their concept to the vendors?

    The key is time stamped so the author knows full well when it will blow-up.

    Re-entering key and username makes it work again, however on closing and opening it becomes brown bread.

    So a time stamped key, looks like a 5$ discount might be a good offer especially as it becomes $12 registered which means updates and technical support for a year.

    Maybe GAOTD needs to explain the concept to the vendors because Elprime stated this was offered for a limited time only, ie evaluation copy.

    Or maybe GAOTD needs to tell the users when a program is only good for a certain amount of time.

    Or maybe GAOTD needs to stop giving away evaluation copies and promising "free forever".

    The lynch mob can put away the pitchforks until we hear an answer. :)
